8. only sometimes, not every day though. I am very careful about giving them too much human food and about what I give them, I don't want it to affect their health or weight in any way. But occasionaly...they will get a little taste of what I am having. Never too much, though. :D h

11. I am jealous. I have always wanted a Dane, they are amazing dogs...so very stunning. Especially those blue merele's. :D Big babies, very sweet dogs...lovely looking too. I am so glad you decided to share the pictures of Oswald with us...he is such a cutie, and is going to be one fine looking Dane. Wow. I hope to see more pictures, I am just in love!!! Congratulations on the new addition to the family. :D
12. thank you for reminding everyone! It is VERY dangerous to leave your dogs in the car without the windows rolled down and without water for long periods of time.
13. Don't worry too much...I think she should be fine. It could be the way she is reacting to all that went on, or the medication that she is on. Keep a good eye on her, she probably will not want to touch food or water for a bit, that is also normal. If you get too worried, just give the vet a call...I'm sure it will make you feel good to be reassured. But honestly, I think she should be okay. Hopefully she gets back to normal soon. (((hugs))) to roxy. :)
14. He is so adorable, looks like a purebred lab pup, too!!! One thing you must know about labs is that they will chew anything that they can get their little paws on, and once they get their paws on it...they think it is theirs  Landon, my rottie/lab mix, has chewed some of my shirts that I forget to put away...he has chewed up two dog beds, a sleeping bag, the padding that goes around our trampoline, a tarp, hmm...what else, oh he started to take the siding off of our barn ( :o ). And his most favorite thing: running around the house with MY undies!! :o (not good when guests are over) But I still love the little bugger. Labs are great dogs, they just love to run and play games and dig and chew...and, well. yeah. have fun, puppyhood is a blast.
15. Well, it is always a relief to know exactly what is wrong, and to know that it can be cured!!! :D Hope he gets feeling better soon, poor thing. Kennel cough is no fun, I am sure. Anyways- names I like are Diesel, Jarrett, Kodiak, Max, Tucker, Dante, Landon, Gibson, Buddy, Shadow, Scooter, Marley, Tyson... can't think anymore. Maybe when I see a pic I will be able to find a better one that will fit the pup...can't wait to see what he looks like!!! :D
16. thanks for sharing!!! those are cute!!! :D
17. that is great!!!!!! :D
18. the three main reasons for tail-docking is for reasons of hygiene, to mantain breed standards (breeds that have been docked for many generations have no standards for tail length, shape, or carriage). and also, the third reason is to avoid tail damage. read this site, it shows the many cons of tail docking. I agree with most of it, it basically points out that dogs need their tails- for balance, body language, etc. and that if they weren't needed, they would not be born with them. also, it is painful for them to get their tails docked. http://www.ava.com.au/content/infoshet/tail.htm I think for hunting dogs, ear cropping was and is performed to prevent injury. another site that I researched said that back then, dogs had their ears cropped to "reduce the number of handholds an aggressor might find on the dog. " now, it has become more of an appearance thing. Ear cropping is not needed for dogs in the ring because it is not like they are used for some type of defense, it does not serve the same purpose that it did back then.

At another forum I am at (just for labradors), a breeder that lives not to far from me (about an hour or two) just had a littler or adorable yellow buggers- 10 in all (labradors). they go from most recent, to least recent.
