Don'tcha hate that !!?? :evil: At Christmas time , all 3 of my girls had the prettiest poop in town !! :roll: If the kids leave any kind of little plastic toy out , guaranteed it will end up in the digestive system of one of my 3 !! :wink: I have a Rott/Lab, and 2 Jacks .... sometimes the Jacks are worse...!! :o My Rott/Lab, Gretchen , has this weird behavior, whenever someone comes to the house , after she greets them, she will go and steal a washcloth out of a clothes basket (clean,hasn't been folded yet) or if no baskets, she will go in the bathroom and raid the bathroom garbage for something !! Lately that has been dixie cups !! :confused1: When I tell her to drop it she will , but how weird.... if I don't catch her she eats it up, not the washcloth, the dixie cup !! :wink:

Sounds like the same lady I got my Gretchen from, claimed they were purebred Rottweilers !! My @$$ !! Sassafrass got her name because she is a Jack Russell Terrier and we thought she'd have a sassy personality, as it turns out her names suits her to a T ! Her middle name is Louise and I gave her that because when something goes wrong I always say "Geez Louise" . Gretchen Josephine (Lab/Rott) got her name because I wanted a somewhat German name and her Grandma's name was Greta . Josephine is my elderly neighbors name and Gretchen was her favorite of my dogs. Maisy Mae, Jack Russell Terrier got her name from that cute little Maisy Mouse show for kids and Mae just seemed to fit with it. Kato Kitty (Orange Tiger cat) got his name from the Pink Panther Movies, Kato was the asian houseboy that always jumped out and attacked Inspector Clouseau (sp.?) and kept him on his toes !! :lol:

Skidboot is definitely one of those one in a million dogs !! He and his owner are simply amazing together !! 8) Skidboot and partner were also on Oprah, performing for all of America !! :wink:

Mouse , I like Stewart Henry too !! :) Marysmama, Since you did name him after the race car driver , you probably should go with Anthony, because you're going to think of that, when he is being mischievous you can call him Tony the Tiger !! :wink: hehehe !!!

My animals have always had middle names. I name them like I would a child. :roll: I have Sassafrass Louise , Gretchen Josephine , Maisy Mae , and Kato Kitty . I do tend to call them by both names when they're getting into trouble or maybe not acting nicely to each other !!! :oops: :wink: People think I'm over the top !! :roll:

I'm with Hazel, I like Snuffluffagus. A French bulldog has that punched in face kind of thing going, so I think Snuffy would be a good name. BUT.... I also have never named ANY animal without seeing it and getting to know it's personality a little. :wink:

We have 3 dogs in our home, I agree with julie45, our dogs are part of our "pack" and they are treated as such. They have full run of our home and are quite well mannered. We have 2 Jack Russell Terrier females, and one Rott/Lab mix , female, and last but not least a large orange tiger cat. In our town they have a 2 dog maximum , but don't tell....... Debbie 8)

Just wanted to add my 2 cents to this subject !! I have a 1yr old Rott/Lab mix that weighs 88 lb. so far..... Our walks have always been horrible, picture, Gretchen pulling me down the street, even with a slip collar on. I bought a Halti and it was like I was walking another dog !! I have never had such a pleasant walk with her !!! Yeah, she fussed with it a few times, but she never pulled or lunged. I am so happy, and I'm also happy to take her for longer walks now that I'm not having my shoulder pulled out of the socket !! LOL :lol: Debbie

Our city and surrounding citys (all small) are considering making all owners of "Guard type dogs" which I take to mean GSH, Rotts, Pits, etc...., carry ONE MILLION DOLLAR INSURANCE POLICYS !!! , In case of bites, attacks , etc..... We just had a case in our small city of Binghamton, where this guy named Anthony Garroway (nicknamed "BeastMaster") was on trial for fighting Pits. They confiscated 3 dogs and ultimately they were destroyed, because they were not adoptable. The doof represented himself in court and lost !!! Big surprise !!! He went to prison. Too bad he didn't get euthanized right along with those poor dogs he abused !!!!! All Dogs have a propensity to bite , just depends on the circumstances. Debbie 8)

My dogs have never been video stars on t.v, just at my home( home video) . However Sassy did get her picture featured on the front page of our local paper ! They were doing an article on Dog Trainers , and just happened to come to our class to take the pictures for the article !!! I was so excited when I got my paper that morning and saw my beautiful girl !!! ( I didn't know) If your talking about Funniest Animal Show , I can't stand that guy and those lame jokes he tells. I like the show,but not him....... Some of my other fav AP shows are: Animal Precinct, Animal Cops, Cell Dogs, Breed all about it , Thats my baby, Pet Psychic , Pet Star , (Is that all ?) RottnPitt, My dogs have pooed green after eating those Greenie dental treats ! However it does sound like something intestinal. I would definitely call the Vet if it doesn't stop. Debbie 8)

How old is Luka ? Sassy loves the hairdryer , even when it's not being used on her !! When I dry my hair , she runs in to be blow dried, she just likes the warm air. :D I started them out as puppies being blow dried, so I think it's just something they get used to. Sitting on the floor,have dog inbetween legs, with face pointing out away from you ,Start out on low setting and point it at the back and feet, I think they tend to freak out faster if it's pointed at their face or front. Give treats and praise while doing it, it'll soon be associated with good stuff !!! :wink: Debbie 8)
