  1. no, i don't think it was lulu. I actualy wrote the show to ask aso maybe i will get a responce. if i do i will share w/ everyone. thanks so much
  2. no, it's not the chin....its a brand new puppy, it was never on the familys show, just sharons. thanks for the help. i have tried looking online but can't find this dog..i think it's too recent maybe
  3. this may not be enough info but, i saw a very small breed dog on television (the sharon osbourne show) and it looks like a tiny teddy bear. I think it was light brown and maybe some white. I have seen this breed before but can't figure out what it is? maybe someone else saw the dog and knows. The dog on the show was a puppy and i think it's name started w/ an L. Maybe Lucy. The dog has meduim legnth slightly curly hair. I thinks it's face was relativly flat as well. it's driving me nuts.
  4. i was walking my dog Humby, she is a mutt about just shy of 60lbs, and i myself being a human am of fairly good size. Then these two Chihauhaus came bolting towards us. Not more than 12 lbs total, like they where going to attack me. My dog was so darn confused. She didn't bark back or raise her hackles or posture. She just looked at them then looked at me. I was kinda scared so i stopped walking, and then humby just sat down, with these two dogs going insane 2 feet away. I go my witts back and kept walking, then they follwed us for two blocks freaking out. I drove back to find them hopefuly get them in my car, till i could find out where they belong. They where gone. I would like a small relaxed dog of my own one day, but have yet to meet one. Not that they don't exsist.
  5. still looking but haven't found ANYTHING!
  6. this is a few pages late, but the dogs that scare me the most are the little ones. with pointed faces. like rat terriers. chiwawas (however that is spelled). cats scare me too, so maybe i am just the exception.
  7. i think that it would only be fair to the dog to leave it's tail "as is" untill a medical reason would deem it necessary to do other wise. I think and amputation would do more harm to your dogs adjustment than anything else.
  8. i am throwing a birthday party for my puppy, turning one oct 5th. Any ideas for games, recipies a theme?? any links or ideas would help. thanks
  9. my 5 month old mixed breeds back legg points slightly inward. I didn't notice it untill very recently and am taking her to get fixed soon, so i haven't asked the vet about it as of yet, but what could have caused this, ans will it affect her as she gets older? There is no noticable effect right now. thanks for the help.
  10. oops that was me
  11. on the back of iams puppy food, there is a chart with age and weight. that is how i figure it out. hope that helps.
  12. physically, your breed looks like a large breed. what i mean is, by looking at a close up photo you would think they are much bigger than they really are.
  13. one of the millions of benifits of having a dog. did i say millions i actually meant billions. they are so in tune to everything. glad and all around you are safe. seems like it's time for a treat for your protectors
  14. thanks for all the help, i swear, i am going to get photos developed and placed on a disk, so i can upload them them TODAY. i want everyone to see how cute my dog is! her half mast ears (i like that term!) she looks kinda like richard gere, mixed with a bunny rabbit.... well you'll see. I think her ears are too big to go all the way up, however they are a pointed shape, humby's ears if erect , would be sooo funny, like slices of pizza on a babys head. te he.
  15. humbys (4 month mixed) ears seem like they are slowly starting to rise. Usualy they are resting on top of her head or arched out to the side, but ever once in a while her left ear stands straight up for about 5 secs. Will they eventually booth stand up (it seems they keep progressing to that point) or are dogs ears always the way they are at birth......and if they could go up, what age will that happen by? Thank you katie
  16. my husband in in the Air Force, we live in base housing, it is really sad right now. Alot of wives are having a hard time, with their husbands being gone so long. It's seems like such a direct threat to my family now. Everyday i wake up afraid i might have to say good=bye to my husb. I am more scared of being without him than anything else.
  17. ahh, yes. i know alot about $ crunches myself but tax refunds can be sooo sweet.
  18. well, humby is 4 months 17 inches at the base of the neck to the floor, and around 30 lbs. She is very slender. I am still no closer to knowing her final size. To answer the q's, she only likes to chew plush things, she loves to ripp out stuffing. We go to CA once every few months so the carrier needs to be airline aproved, collapsable, and my dogs is okay with cats, but we stay at my grandparents and they have two not so okay with dog cats. They chase dogs. I like the idea a a plastic kennel for her saftey and comfort. I will always keep them separated in different rooms, but just incase the cats learn to open the door, i would like her to be fully protected. I think i am going to go with the star crate by general, take al ook i would love the feedback. thanks for all the help. 19. well, since my dog is still only 4 months, i will hold out on the tent, maybe next year. Does anyone know much about general crates? Their folding crate seems well put together. Any general customers? Or any other large hard folding crates besides nylaybone on the market? thanks
  20. thank you for the help, we are going to get the nylabone folding crate for travel but are still hoping to find a nice fabric crate for home. Carol, are the tent style doggie dens easy to destroy? Thanks for the help, i am about to take a look.
  21. i am looking for a large soft kennel, or crate..i don't know the difference. I have been looking online but i haven't found much. Does anyone know any good sites i can look at? thanks
  22. i have always loved animals, but now with my very own dog i realize that they really are man and womans best friend. Next to my husband my dog is my favorite thing in the world. She is always there and always so happy to seem me, even if i just go to get the mail she acts like there is nothing better in the world than me just being there. She shows such devotion. I love DOGS, especialy mine! Just had to tell someone.
  23. humby is now 4 months old and continuing to be a very dominant dog. She is small and loves people to death, she also likes to play with dogs, but after about 5 mins she trys to asert her dominance, mounting them and biting their ears. So of course i break it up and warn people before she plays with their dogs. I am hoping she will calm down, but her hackles go up, so we can't socialize her anymore. are we doomed or is there anyway to curb the behavior. PS we never let her off lead. the reason i am concerned is because our parents and aunts and uncles have dogs that she will be around during holidays, i want her to be a part of all the fun, but so far i haven't heard or been able to find much about how to make it possible. thanks katie
  24. i knew an awesome corgi named Skipper, i also like the name Wellington. good luck names are hard. so we picked a northern ca county that has great surfing, Humboldt.
  25. the reason i started this topic was because i really couldn't understand this practice of killing dogs because of the color of their fur, and nothing to do with detriment to health. It seems nothing but wrong. I think it's cr@p. I am not a breeder. I don't know very much about the whole deal, but when i heard my father-in-laws story it made me sick. A friend of his had a dog that had a litter of boxers and in that litter was one all white pup. IF my husbands dad had not stoped by at exactly the right moment that dog would have been dead. For the dumbest of reasons, it's fur. The dog Sunny has grown up to be an awesome pet. Never been a father and never will be but he has brought so much love into this world. If as a breeder you bring any dog that even has a chance for a happy life into this world i don't think you then have the right as nothing more than a human to end it at will. I could never bring myself to think of myself so highly as to play with life that way. You can't instigate the birth of puppies then kill them if you don't like the way they look. grrrhhhh this isn;'t to anyone in particular, it is just a subject eating away at my heart.
