Well I went to my first show in years over the weekend. It was like heaven. I forgot how much fun being around all those pooches is. It was pure comedy watching the Italian Spinone breed judging. There were 9 of them, all owned by the same person, though a couple were co-owned. But it very amusing watching the mad scramble to get the dogs switched over. I may actually start helping her show them!! Woohoo! They all actually live a couple miles away from me. I also met Jeanne Catanzaro. (She's a Doberman woman for those of you who don't know). Her dogs are absoultely stunning. I am seriously considering getting one of her dogs when I finally do get a dog. I also got attacked in the stereotypical fashion by the best of breed Staffie. IE he tried to lick me to death.

Oh Kiger it's too bad Conar is fixed and male or we could have Shamoyeds. Or what about Shalmatians?

It doesn't seem that her previous owner treated her too well...her condition and the fact they didn't give her a real name... She sure is pretty though.

I have always wanted a dobe, and I met a full grown blue one awhile ago. Such a gorgeous, sweet dog.

Just out of curiousity, what breed is your dog? Some breeds/dogs just aren't the noisy type. Does your dog know how to speak on command? You could train it to respond to the doorknock the same way.

I need some pointers Ellie. I want to start clicker training Bean.

Actually Court, I was thinking GSD body with Dalmatian coloring. Ohhhhhh wait, I might actually want that dog... Uh oh bad me! Though I did grow up with dals and have always wanted a GSD. Oh my.

OMD you just made me spray my monitor with mountain dew Rosebud! A puli and its hippie owners won the dog/owner lookalike contest this past weekend at the humane society dogwalk. Weird dog crosses,hmmmm let's see. A friend of mine used to have a lab/dachshund mix. Spud looked like a lab until he stood up and was only a couple inches taller. How about a German Shepherd/Dalmatian cross?

My Conar has the bottom lead in the picture. ( except it's red) We don't do agility, but with all the hair he has it's a lot easier to use that sort of leash for him. I like the lil leather "stop" thingy so it can't get loose enough to slip off. It is a lot more convienent that messing around with a regular collar/leash combo.
