1. Hobbit, Couldn't find that site but I know what you're talking about. The gal that bred white dobes and teacup, toy pups. Also sold parrots and other animals I think. Couldn't find it anywhere but wow found some interesting stuff in the search. http://www.1stopfordogs.com/dogs-wanted.htm  Stopping now. Sorry Hobbit couldn't find it. People make me so sick sometimes.
2. I will keep my fingers crossed for ya Egg. Let us know what dad says. I have to agree looks like a spaniel/pointer cross.
3.   Love it. Thanks for the laugh!
4. Oh you all are awesome. I never even bothered to try and figure it out. Just left it on GMT. It now shows MY time. YEAH! Thanks again everyone. :D
5. LOL. I did something similar once with IcyHot. Not fun and so, so hard to get the smell out of your clothes. I feel for you K.
6. I'm so lost, K what happened with the vaporub?
7. I seem to smell something in the air  Anyways, Tom if you're serious you need to do some thinking before you jump into this. You are making a big mistake if you decide to breed these two. Listen to the people on this forum you are not a breeder and we certainly don't need more puppies. Please heed our advice and avoid breeding, spay and neuter your animals and give them a chance to be pets.
8. I know how you all feel. With a mal in the house my life will never be dog hair free again. Ends up everyone including my mouth while sleeping. Oh Gigi I wish I could have warned you never buy fleece if you own a dog. Bad combo for two reasons. The static and the hair attraction. Go buy yourself a fleece robe put in on at night. Walk up to your dog and start rubbing his/her coat. Sit back and watch the sparks fly. They will also fly when you remove the robe so watch out. I've now come to the conclusion that I cannot wear nice clothing. I even tried keeping the good clothes in the guest room (only room dogs aren't allowed). Yeah right, like that worked. One step out of the room with the clothes on and I'm done. The rolly tape things don't work. Anyone else have any ideas? Except for maybe shaving your dog every morning  Not a pretty thought.
9. Sounds like a dream come true Newfiemom.
10. Jolly, Best thing to do is research. Are there any Newfie owners in your area? Breed clubs? How about a rescue? Newfiemom could probably help in that area. Take a look here for more info on the Newfie: http://www.newfdogclub.org You can also call breeders and talk to them about your living environment and they will tell you if a Newfie would be suitable for your lifestyle. Hope this helps.
11. I have to say laduenda I am utterly disguested. People like you make me sick, how can you possibly condone breeding more aggressiveness into your breed. Don't we have a big enough problem already. How about improving the breed! You do not sound like a responsible breeder nor would I condone anyone buying a dog from you. This forum is for dog LOVERS. We do not chain our dogs outside and brag that they would rip a puppy apart if given the chance, are you kidding? Get a life, learn how to LOVE a dog. They are here as companions, protectors and work partners. Your dog need not be bred to attack every living thing that moves. If you insist on breeding and living with dog aggressive dogs, move yourself to an area where you pose no threat to those around you. Take the time to properly train your dogs. Socialize your animals so that they may live in harmony in your household instead of on a chain. Be a responsible human being. People like you make it so hard to be a dog owner these days. You give us such a bad name. I'm sick of it.
12. What happened to Bones ear? Poor kid :( I hope he finds a good home.
13. Oh thank Dog BenSam! I am so very happy for you. I'm going to keep sending all my positive energy and thoughts your way. I feel like jumping for joy for you and Mei-Mei. Hang in there Ben, Apollo and Artemis, be strong!!!! Will keep praying for full recovery for all.
14. No Comment Poofy. Can't say what I'm thinking
15. Will this madness ever end! :x Sheer morbid curiousity made me look. 94 week old Malamute is a puppy? To who? Care: minimal grooming? Yeah right, in a perfect world. Boy are these people in for a world of shock when they see how much these guys shed. I didn't make myself look at any others. Would lose my mind. Who dreams up this stuff?
16. LOL Egg, that's hilarious. Carol don't feel to bad, when we lived in Wyoming we had sled dogs living on property. Our dogs had a hay day with the frozen poop pile. Wouldn't let them give kisses all winter. YUCK! Still have to deal with it once and a great while here but not as often. At least mine don't bring them inside.
17. Hobbit, Do you have a link? Would love to read up on that, hadn't heard.

Sit-Down!

Hand commands are great as your dog will constantly be watching you. Most voice trained dogs do not always focus on their owners. I enjoy training with both, as both are very useful. Down to sit: DogPaddle gave you the right advice. Good luck and keep us posted. I personally use "up" to get up on something. Including hugs! (Bad habit I know, but I love hugs and my dogs are big enough to get their paws on my shoulders. We don't let them do it to strangers.)
19. If he doesn't want to deal with hair definately don't let him get the mal cross. Our house, clothes, cars, basically everything is covered with his hair. We brush every other day, bath when he needs it. LOTS of hair. Of course, depends on the cross but still be ready to deal with shedding! It is a little scary that his dog got out that much. Would definately look into that before placing a new pup with him. Hope everything works out.
20. It is interesting that most people do not know what is in the drugs they take. I am tied for passion between horses and dogs and the premarin makes me quite mad. I have looked into it quite extensively and the treatment is appauling (sp?). Hopefully through education and spreading the word we can get more people to look into what they take. I do know quite a few people who have rescued premarin foals. In the next year or two I hope to have the land to be able to rescue a few myself. Don't get me started on slaughterhouses! :x I'm going to stop now.
21. It might be a good idea to teach your dog the "leave it" command. This can work on anything you don't want your dog touching or going after. Whenever your dog is on leash and you pass a blond colored dog tell your dog leave it and distract your dog with a treat. Others might have better ideas! Hope this helps and not sure if I have welcomed you so if not Welcome to the forum Sheesh
22. Wanted to say Welcome. Can't really help you as I have three large dogs and no kids. But good luck and it sounds like you have a huge heart for kids and dogs. That's great! Let us know what you decide.
23. Egg, Here are a couple of links on flying with your pet. http://www.interpetexplorer.com/html/flying.html http://www.sailcharbonneau.com/QuarantineImport.htm (scroll to bottom of this one has alot of info on all country quarantine requirements) Hope this helps and I will keep checking.
24. I am so sorry to hear about your baby but glad to hear things are looking a little better today. I will keep my thoughts and prayers for both of you and wish for a speedy recovery.
25. What a tough thing to go through I'm sorry Byrd. Have you looked around to see if a breed specific rescue would take her. My prayers are with you both.
