Hehe..Rowie prefers birds! (she's a Golden Retriever i'm not surprised! ) She stalks up to them like a lioness! I swear she looks exactly like a lioness in the african plains stalking a gazzelle or something...!! :D It's toooooo cute! But when she gets close, just about enough to pounce, the bird flies away..and it's soo sad the look on her face! Haha!

Jen-Layla..I LOVE that name!! :D :D :D It's such a beautiful name! I think it suits her beautifully! BUT I also LOVE Cleo! But I think Layla is more unique, and beautiful! :D -
Oh, and one more thing... I was coming from school the other day, and was sitting in the car, thinking of you 'n Hazel...and I always like to see things from the dogs point of view too! :D Think about it, Hazel doesn't care how long she lives! she doesn't care how she dies, or when, or where, the most inportant thing to her is that you loved her and she loved you! :D You gave her a wonderful life Shara, she never felt a moment of pain, of abuse, she never, ever, felt like she was unloved! I mean, to her, she lived a wonderful long life, with her owner, family, friends. She must probably thik she's the luckiest pooch in all of the world to have such a great life! :D And to her, being at the rainbow bridge, will be like heaven! And when eventually you're time comes, she'll be so glad! And you will be reunited! and to her it will feel like seconds! Seconds until she's with you again! :D I can't tell you not to be sad, you can't help it, if I hadto put Rowie to sleep, I would DEFINETLY be sad...but I just want you to know, it's not that bad, Hazel will be fine, and really happy to have had such a great life, and a great owner! :D
awe, Thanks Rowie!! I'll get my lab when I find it... (or it finds me  ) but to wait until I'm "over Hazel" would be a life time, and I can't live without a dog!!
You're most welcome Shara! :D Tuesday? :o  Well just think of it like this, if you keep putting it off, you'll just get sadder, and it will hurt more, but if you do do it on Tuesday, it will hurt, but it won't feel as bad/sad as if you kept putting it off... :-? Good Luck to you! Remember we're all there for you! And remember, the happiest thing for Hazel, is to see her owners face as the last thing she sees, you'd be doing something so great for her..!! :D
We moved onto their land they didn't ask to be invaded !!!
Exactly! :o I mean, they get invaded of thier natural habitat, shot, poisned, mixed with other dogs..Etc. It wasn't thier falt and look what happenes! Dingo's are one of my most favorite wild animal ever! I have a thing for "doggish" animals. Wolves, dingo's, foxes, jackles...Etc. Thier just sooo beautiful and clever! :D It would be SUCH a shame if they get extinct
Rowie the Pooh I don't know how to PM some one?? :o I work at a Vet clinic and a boarding/Grooming facility ...the groomer at your Vets office will use a table with a noose...the dogs head goes into the noose which enables the groomer to clip the dog...although the dog may be hyper, snappy etc...the groomer I work with usually does not have a problem...first off; some dogs that nip their owner will not nip at the groomer...they are on new territory and they have an experienced dog person working on them...just like when you go to obedience, have you ever been embarressed by what the instructer can make your dog do and you can't? also a groomer will have muzzles on hand. Jackie maya As for a dog being tramatized at a grooming facility...its not the most pleasant experience in the whole world for a dog...and you can't explain to them why they are there. Do you know how many dogs will not drink water at a grooming facility...they are stressed. I don't know if the people at petsmart did not put water down, or your dogs were too stressed to drink it...did they actually state to you that they hadnt given the dogs water?
Cassie, Thanks a bunch! :D I was really worried, I mean Rowie does get bored easily  Plus, it's getting really hot here, so I really need to have her clipped, and as it's the first time she's going "clipping" and the first time for me, I was really worried something might happen... Ok, now to help you PM, go to the bottom of my post, right after my sig, you will see two little buttons, one sais:"Profile" and the other "PM" click the PM button and wallah! :D Thanks for helping me out! :) Rowie-the-Pooh

    Oh Shara! I'm so sorry! I know how hard it's been for you, and the descision(sp?) you made might most probably be the most reasonable one :-? I know how hard it's been for you...so much is going on in your life...no-one here blames you...no one WILL balme you...no-one will yell..no one will EVER yell(and if they do thier dead  )... All we want(as K said) is the best for you and Hazel, and having her PTS might just be the best thing to do! Her problems are out of control, and it's NOT you're fault..if she had so much socialization and such...must have been in her blood(parents might have been aggressive..Etc.) it's NOT your fault..!! Maybe you should wait awhile till you get your Lab(great chioce BTW :D ), wait till you're over Hazel..you know..then when you feel like you're ready, you can get the lab :D Remember, what you did was for the best, and it's NOT in any way your fault! You are NOT failing her! Some things are that way I guess.. :-? Remember, if you EVER need a shoulder to cry on, we'll be there...we all know of pain and loss...it's really hard... :-? But that's what Dogo is for...we're all one big great family, and just because you had Hazel PTS does NOT mean we don't want you here...you did what was for the best! So PLEASE don't leave..it would feel so empty here without you!

Ohhh poor Jackie! Those mean people  , next time do it at the other place... :D I have a Q.. I want to get Rowie's fur clipped, the vet around here does it, but the problem is, i'm not sure if Rowie can stay still for all that time! :-? And i'm afraid she might nip too! :-? What do they do there? And how should I make sure Rowie won't nip? Should I buy a muzzle for her? :-? I might not check this topic again(lazy  ) so If you Do have the answers, can you please PM me?! :D Thanks! :D

How did you pick your dogs name ?
Rowie-the-Pooh replied to ellieangel's topic in Everything about dogs
Rowie had hers when we got her...I didn't know what it meant( ), so I made a topic over here about it(dunno if you remember), and found out that it meant Scottish Bread Roll! :o   I ws like:"great I have a scottish bread roll for a pet!" As for our previuose doggie, Honey(R.I.P my little   ), well her coat was a WONDERFUL, deliciouse, rich, deep honey color, and so, you guessed it, we called her Honey! :D And my cuzins dog(who's with us alot of the time), his name is Blackie...I think you know why! -
Ok, feel like a tottal idiot, but who's Petal? What's the story? I'm sorry but I must have missed the post!

Hazel, I'm really sorry, but I don't have much advice  But to make you feel better, I went through the same frustration and confusion when I just got Rowie... When we first got her, we had just moved to a new house, so boxes where everywhere, and she'd chew like H*LL! :o Also, after coming back from school, Rowie would nip our hands and arms till they where red! :o She came to us like this, a chewer and a seriuos nipper! I was really frustrated, and confused. My parents whining didn't help either. :-? I just got more and more frustrated! I really couldn't handle it, and nither could the rest of the family. I almost gave up, and thought about returning her to her previouse owner, plus I blamed everything that happened on myself, which just wanted me to end everything. Thankfully, when I got to know Rowie better, I understood what she needed and wanted better, so I get to work. I eased her chewing by putting toys everywhere in the house, so when she felt like chewing a box or whatever, she had a toy there instead(which was much better than a box in her opinion  ) I also started teaching her "Leave It" on her leash and I started becoming more firm with her. And to ease her nipping(which isn't fully cured, but it's almost gone ) I started bringing her toys with me to school, so that when we came home, instead of her chewing us, I would give her the toy, or a treat.(Today when I came home she didn't even jump on me! :D I'm so proud!) And so on, plus, the older she got, the more mature, and now, she doesn't chew! :D And the nipping is still there, but I'm working on it! :D Although this doesn't help( :-? ) I just wanted to show you that I've been through the same, and I know exactly how you feel being a teen myself. I know about all the frustration, homework, not being there for 7 hours a day...Etc. If you ever need to talk to someone, just PM me k? :D
