3. wow ladies I have been a sheltie breeder for over 27 years and if I was a novice would be very worried about breeding after the problems you have laid out for this lady, but of course you are correct in all you say and I hope she will have taken in your good advice and will not breed from this dog, Ickle

6. Grandma's on the net again, the kitchen's not her home. She used to make us cherry pies, and call us on the phone She would talk to us for hours; now she leaves us all alone. We miss her homemade biscuits, and I'll make this little bet , If you want to contact Grandma, you'll have to surf the net. Grandma's surfing on the net, you bet. She is surfing on the net. We've been calling her all morning, and we haven't got her yet. She's on the E-mail network, with her electronic friends. If you want to talk to grandma, you'll have to surf the net. (scroll down) *

8. loss of a dog is on dogo now I hope it helps ease your pain.
9. . LOSS OF A DOG If you've ever known the joyful sound Of barks that fill the air- A sloppy kiss, a friendly paw, A quiet adoring stare- If you've ever had a special friend To share a tear or two, Or maybe just a wagging tail To lift you when you're blue- If you've ever felt the wrenching pain That only death can send, Then you have lost Not just a dog- You've truly lost a friend. But God is good and treasures love And there at Heaven's gate- A sloppy kiss, a joyful bark- Your precious friend awaits. Anon.

Dog poem

Just right for christmas a real cute poem.  liked it a lot.
13. Hi Bensam I totally agree people should be prepared to help their breeds in whatever way they can,It amazes me how many folks pay lip service to the rescue etc but shy away when practical help is needed Shame on them I do remenber my first champion very well as it was at Crufts in 86 when he got his title.did not come down for weeks.as you say there is nothing quite like a homebred champion    Ickle
14. wonderful though very sad
15. What a very sad but beautiful poem it brought the tears to my eyes and with your kind permission I would like pass it on to our many friends in allbreeds rescues as well as the breed rescues, Such heart-renching words. Thank for posting it Ickle
16. I have 3 breeds but only breed when I want something myself Have bred champions in 2 breeds & am fortunate to own 1 in my other breed, Do not believe in breeding just to make money as my dogs are family and I have not bred a litter of any type for three years. Being head of a rescue I have seen first hand what harm puppy farmers (mills) can do. Please do not put people down for owning more than one breed we are not all bad folks, Some of us just love dogs.

Teacup heelers

Only mini heelers I have seen here are Lancashire Heelers which look a mini pin with more bone and a longer stockier body, short legs and are usually black & tan or a chocolate colour

19. My Denzil has had a knitted Humpty Dumpty since he was a baby it is the only toy he does not chew, (he sucks it like a baby's bottle) I see it as a kind of barometer of whether he likes visitors to the property or not. When they come into the house he runs up to them & has a quick sniff round and if he thinks they are good people he fetches his best friend Humpty to be introduced . He has only declined to do this on four occasions & I must admit I was not happy about these people either.Needless to say they were not allowed to have any of my rescue dogs. (Denzil obviously agreed) Ickle
20. Roo that was very well put, Have just caught up with whats been going on and you have my full support in all you have said Ickle :)
21. Hobbit well done a great piece of writing I wholeheartedly agree with all you said. Ickle
22. I have only just finished reading the forum and I am in complete agreement with Horsefeathers & Roo. This dog does not owe you anything ( apart from his love & loyalty) you chose to buy him not the other way round. Has he had all his tests to be sure he has the best breed qualities to pass on to his offspring & no hereditary faults. Do please think very carefully before starting this enterprise as it may turn and bite you where it hurts-----IN YOUR POCKET  Ickle
23. what a little sweetie looks like there might be collie or maybe sheltie in colouring is similar at this age Ickle
24. well done Hobbit what a truly wonderful thing you have done I hope you will both be very happy together   Ickle
25. This is I believe an anti-inflammtory pill and should only be used for short periods of time.I have a dog who chipped a bone in his leg and was on 2 tablets a day for 4 weeks & is now on one tablet a day for two more weeks (I heard about the kidnyes & interal bleeding.etc if over used) Scares me. He is on Coequin which Iam told contains Chondroitin & glucosamine and it does appear to be helping. Have you tried homepathic tablets like Rhus Tox have talked to friends who swear by them Ickle
