3. we are in the same position with Poppy. We count the good days and bad days, when the bad ones out-number the good ones we will have to let her go. I do understand how you feel
 4.
By the way, I got him a Christmas gift. A new tag for his collar that reads Trouble In A Fur Coat....how true.
I do not know anything about digging, but I like the present you have for him :D
 5. BK is in the best place. like the others said you were unselfish :D
 6.
Egg, Spike Milligan was an amazingly funny and talented comedian/author (he died last year I think, he was about 90 or so). I have some of his books too. He also used to be part of the Goon Show (way before our time, Dad has the records though). I am 99% sure the poem is a parody, a take on irresponsible pet ownership. :) I would read that to my future children as a way NOT to look after animals, also teaches them about satirical humour
CAN I ALSO ADD HE WAS ENGLISH. I REMEMBER WATCHING THE GOON SHOW. HE WAS TRYING TO MAKE IRRISPONSIBLE OWNERS TO THINK
 7. :D NICE SHINE ON THE COAT

WE WHERE DUE TO GO ON HOLIDAY THE BREEDER AGREED TO KEEP THE PUPPY UNTIL SHE WAS ELEVEN WEEKS. JUST BEFORE WE WENT AWAY WE ASKED IF WE COULD VISIT THE PUPPY. WHEN WE ARRIVED THE BREEDER SAID THE PEOPLE HAVING PADDY (THE CREAM PUPPY) HAD CHANGED THEIR MIND HE WAS UP FOR SALE AGAIN. PADDY WANTED US HE FOLLOWED MY HUSBAND EVERYWHERE HE WENT. SO WE ENDED UP BUYING THEM BOTH PADDY AND GLADIS. WE LAUGHED, THAT ON THE FIRST VISIT PADDY WAS TELLING HIS LITTER MATES THESE ARE MY PEOPLE BUT THEY DON'T KNOW IT YET :D
 13. If you love dogs, please help us. We don't want money or donations at this point, we need email and telephone support. My friend Steve Smith 843-347- 0454 in Conway, SC. has been maintaining a small dog shelter taking in the animals that the neighbors have cast aside. He fed them, bathed them and pawned about everything of value he had to keep them up to date with shots and vet care. He begged at the local stores and found some good hearted people at Wal-mart who helped him with food from broken bags. He had over forty dogs and everything was going fine. He had volunteers who helped him clean and care for the dogs and a number of small businesses who set up collection jars for change to help him out financially. During this time he worked a full time job doing deliveries for a local company. The neighbor next door, with a history of drug dealing, theft, storing, and moving stolen property doesn't like the dogs barking and bringing attention to himself and his visitors. The neighbor complained to animal control for months. Animal control responded like a pack of nazi storm troupers while Steve was at work, threatened his volunteers and collected all the dogs for euthanisia. You can read the full story at his website: http://www.dogdata.com How about helping us by calling this judge and emailing Steve for support for his private shelter. THIS IS AN EMAIL I RECIVED WOULD YOU ALL PLEASE HELP

 21.

:( I did not know there was a problem with Rimadyl Poppy has been on it for 2 years with her arthritis. Without it we would have had to put her to sleep because of the pain she would be in
Mouse, do you periodically have Poppy checked for normal liver and kidney functions? Just me, but there are lots of information on the web (reputable sites) that discuss the side effects of the NSAID's (Rimadyl) and alternatives to them.
no she has not been checked  the vet has had a general look at her but no tests. We will take her with us when Gladis has her stitches out next Wednesday

 23. sounds like a mystery. I will keep on sending thoughts for you both
 24.
While I cringe at the phrase "my dogs are like my kids", I can say without reservation that the emotional attachment I have to my dogs is extremely intense. Several years ago (before I had dogs) there was a fellow here who drowned trying to save his dog. At the time I thought: "What an idiot". Now I think "That's me". I would die trying to save my boys, and I know that my wife would as well.
I ALSO FELT LIKE YOU DID BEFORE I HAD THE DOGS. WHEN I READ ABOUT SOMEONE DROWNING TO SAVE THEIR DOG. I TOO CAN UNDERSTAND IT NOW
