  1. I am not an expert on dogs but I think that it is probably best if you do try and raise the pup yourself or give it to someone else to do so- you are only going to put yourself through endless worry if you try and get it back to mom and you can't be sure if she took it back and cared for it.. And life is probably such a struggle for her anyway, probably better for her not to be trying to feed the young one when she needs all the energy she can get for herself. There may be others of the litter tucked away in safety somewhere that she has to cope with, and if so I doubt she'll be really missing this one lost puppy.... But like I say I am no expert... what are you leaning towards?
  2. I completely agree with you, Giz, I went to your site to look at the photos and aaaawwww what a cutie..... :) Nothing like some of the photos and accounts that get bandied about around here :(
  3. Hi I think the advice you have been given so far is good and you really do need to apply yourself and try to improve those grades, but apart from that, may I suggest that you speak to your dad and apologise for your behaviour so far. This shows that you care what he thinks of you. Then, try to explain that from a psychological point of view, placing this amount of pressure on you is counter-productive- if you become that terrified of failing because there is so much at stake you won't be able to concentrate properly- you'll be too worked up and it won't help. Why not make up a rota that shows your 'extra study' time and your 'puppy care' time, then put it somewhere prominent and stick to it! This shows you take all your responsibilities seriously. And do get some help from teachers at school, they really can make a difference (they stopped me failing a science A level I really needed!). I hope some of this helps- good luck :)
  4. The Dangerous dogs act doesn't seem to have made one iota of difference anyway- I think a couple of weeks ago 2 kids were attacked on the same day, one by an Akita, the other by ???????? 2 cross breeds ???- I don't know. What's the answer now? They can't go on eliminating breed by breed. The pibull wasn't helped in the least by an 'animal loving' magazine. I recall their feature stating that these dogs were not suitable as pets and that no one but macho 'fighting' men could want to own them. All this next to a black and white photo of a very lean and fed up looking APBT which appeared run-up and mean... Strong contrast to the messages I read and photos I see at this forum. Its a shame, I just keep thinking how cute these guys are, and how I will never have the option to own one! The same magazine attacked the 'Bandog' but I don't remember much about the article- anyone know what a Bandog is? :-?
