2.
A child can take a toy away from a bull or mastiff breed and will be attacked no doubt, but take a toy away from a lab or a chiuahua and they won't attack the child.
???????????????????????????????????????????????? :o :o :o :o :o ????????????????????????????????????? good gosh - you , an 'intelligent' person said that?????????????????????????????????????
I find it really funny that the moderator blocks out a book chapter title from a highly regarded behaviorist but then lets the other rude posts go on and on and on.
Youre a highly regarded nameless guest!!!!!!!!!! Reveal yourself or piss off.
I FIRMLY believe that People are the problem...NOT dogs........just my .02
MEE TOO!! AND GUEST - YOU ARE THE PROBLEM ON THIS FORUM
 3. MMmmmm.....there is something odd going on here......?? :o Who is your 4 year old Jordan, and i believe you said you are 13 years old ?????????
Most breeds have a 'guarding' instinct already that increases when they are loved and have a family. I feel that when you train your dog with sit, heel, stay, and etc... you have a good guard dog then. There is no point IMHO in training a dog to be an attack dog. They protect from natural instinct and always have so work at controlling this instead of adding something you cannot even begin to fathom or control if it got out of hand... Much less the fact that your dog has to pay with his life for something he was doing to please you.. Man where did that come from???!! Sorry guys if that was harsh but the truth is the truth...
Jacksmom for president!!!!!!! This guarding instinct was specifically bred into Boerboels and in opinion, you wont get a better controllable, big dog
 4. Thanks Hazelhover - you made my day!

 7.
You don't consider 13 months (the age at which this miller proclaimed he bred his giant breed bitch in his own posts) too young to breed a giant breed bitch? I don't think 4 months is 'ages' in a giant breed pup's life 9 months or 13 months he bred her way too young for the only purpose of producing pups, which he raises in outdoor pens, to sell and in every post he puts another ad for them - sounds like a miller to me.
If this person is going to continue calling me names and continue with this childish ....thing...... to tarnish my good name, im going to blow my top........im telling you, im going to.....

And as Becky said - if they dont want to pay for a dog - obviously they their attitude is way wrongand the dog will suffer

 21. One of my young dogs, Vesuvius, contracted this illness about 3 months ago. He was unrestless permanently and one afternoon started walking in circles and banging into walls. He was put on a steroid drip for 3 days and recovered 100% (Luckily my vet is soooo clever hediagnosed it immediately - the dogs blindness the primary reason). The vet working with him scared me because he said it could be distemper and they cant be cured!!! Here is the bad part - Vesuvius health started to deteriorate again - we brushed it off as being his way, to such a point that his vision was impaired again. :( Off to the vet and on drips again - 24 hrs 100%!!!!!!!!!!???????? Studied on the internet and found out he should be put on a 6 weeks steroid program. The vet agreed (treated with PREDNIZONE) and last Tuesday he got his last pill. Compared to his sister, the sickness definately stumped his growth :( Now my questions are: Will he grow to be a normal adult - will the groth genes 'kick' in, will he have brain damage - he looks ok to me, will the steroids have made him sterile and how the hell did he get the disease - none of my other dogs were affected (2 are his age)????
 22. AND??????
 23. Youre killing me
