Stiff, there where you live are there pet stores with "vet offices" in the same building...We do here and there is a scale out where everyone can use it..that is how I weigh my pup.

Yes, cottage cheese I dont (yet) but I have heard it is for puppys but alot of people put it in as an extra. I use yogurt, Gizmo loves it!

yup, puppys know...thats is what gizmo does to my boyfriend....she seems to love him more then me...the one that does everything! LOL But my boy does the same thing ...pretends to hate her but he loves her as much as he loves me! :D

Gizmo is 6 Months old and She is around 40 lbs. When Gizmo was 3 Months old she was 17.5 lbs...

ok, everyone here is my story.... My boyfriend and I were having thanksgiving dinner with a friend and a friend of a friend brought over a box of Shar - pei (sp?) puppy's I decided I wanted a puppy and my boyfriend has never grown up with a pet let alone a dog/puppy....we thought about it and decided that we were going to get one...well it fell through and we didn't get a shar - Pei. Then our best friend is a breeder of the wonderful breed of APBT! He told me that the bitch LoLo is expecting....so he promised me a female. She welps in december and I am getting so anquise and then I see my baby...the only female in the whole litter....he does not fall through and gives me her...I have a part time job basically with my dad and I am short on cash...No matter how short you are on cash you will find the money to get you "kid" healty and keep them that way! I get Gizmo and I stay and sleep on the couch with gizmo in her little bed... She whinned alot the first 3 nights and I would let her out and she would go pee/poop and then she was up and wanted to play...I didn't know what to do so I go back to sleep and she plays...then she whins and I let her out again then she goes to bed...My boyfriend personally loved it becasue he got the whole bed but we have had fights about her becuase he was getting sick of her peeing and pooping every where...well we got past that...and personally you can change someone if they are willing to give it a chance..my boyfriend is German 100% and they are the most STUBBORN people I have ever met! LOL So I think if he has excepted her then your jamacian boy can or he will loose you and the puppy... But what I did when she got older is I gave her stuffed animals and got a heating pad put it on the medium level...put blankets around it and put the stuffed animals around...she was fine...The apple is a really good idea...but dont judge someone when they say the are short on cash becuase NO MATTER WHAT...they will find a way! Homeless people have dogs....the dogs are fine.....just like they are..... Sure if they had more food and water and a roof over their head..they would be happier but it is so easy to please so many dogs and people... Good Luck....tell us what the vet says....

Absolutly Natural! Gizmo never barked at the door...she was just use to people just walking in! Long story.... but if you have someone ring the door bell and knock....just bark like k does and I think he/sje will get it..Give it time! Good Luck!

Sheesh where you live..I'll watch her $25.00 a day! Her and gizmo can play! LOL Gizmo went through this stage from 3 1/2 months to about 5 1/2 months....she would just bark at absolutly NOTHING! It is a stage at least I think. But just give her lots of love and toys and the walk in the morning is good for her and you! Good luck and get cat balls that make noise or something that makes noise puppys love that....maybe make a video tape of you and her and people talking....and play it while your gone...I have to leave the t.v. on or the radio when I leave gizmo for a while... But she is fine now...the t.v/radio is allways on though...good luck!

hmmmm I am sorry to hear of your friends loss, I am not an expert on breeds but everyone else is! So just talk to them and maybe you two can find that dog and take it in and hopefully dont put it down but what ever has to happen has to happen.... :-?

About the pooping less...Nutro promises that with there product and Eukebana (sp?) and Iams are the same...Eukebanan is more exspensive but they are the same thing basically.... Puppies, just a little advice...you dont want to occasionally switch your dogs food, it is very bad for the dog, it 99% of the time causes diahreahha(sp?) I have heard...so stick with one type of food...especially if you show them.... CandyBug, Gizmo is spoiled with love more then food! Just imagine, she is SOOOOO SPOILED with food but she gets so much attention 99% of the time...me, my hubby, my dad,and my jerk of a brother -- and then all those dang bratty girls he brings over! lol.... On the weekends we take her to car shows(which last week there we 6 pitbulls all together!) and then we go one the street Mill Ave. that everyone hangs out at in phoenix! So she see and meets alot of people...during the week she goes to the dog park for hours on end!! LOL So she is a spoiled and very much loved pitbull! :D And when Gizmo gets fixed, very soon I hope, she will get the recipes in my post of "Making your own dog food and treats!" So she is going to be happy!

Well ok you just turned my opinion around on you! I may beo n a lot but it's when my dog is sleeping or playing in the back yeard in the water or eating...It's a chat forum and if you really didn't dye your dogs hair blue or whatever color then you are really weird... We here on this forum LOVE to dye our pets hair/fur! So dont have a problem with it! And we responsded back to you because we thought you were a nice little soft ball player that cared about people and their feelings....well you know what you aren't...........sooo tata from me....

Well I called the vet and they said to keep an eye on her and if she stops eating/drinking then bring her in and they will check her and give her a shot for bordatella.

My pup use to puke every time we went anywhere there was ALOT of people...we later found out becuase she was so excited...but she no longer does it....

Lafayette Kennels -- I was wondering if you have got the male pitbull puppy yet? If yes, I would like to see pics..I know your a keenel but if you have any quesitons bout something..just ask... I must sound stupid for just saying that....but I have raised Gizmo and she does some crazt things sometimes! ok time for me to shut up!

Yeah I know! My friends and my boyfriend look at me sometimes and are like do you like not having money...and I'm like you guys spend money o your car! so why cant I spend money on my dog! LOL Some peeps just dont understand!! :D

OMG! That is alot of food....maybe I leave out in the morning....she eats it right away..tommorrow it will be 1 cup and half...if thats gone then the next day 2 cups...thats alot of food!!!

I feed my puppy in the morning a cup of dry food, then for the night meal I give her a can of Roast beef slices in gravy, some cooked white rice and another cup of dry dog food.....She is spoiled but she usses up all the calories! I am slowly watching her feeding so I know if she is still hungry.... :D

Guest and beaglt you funny!! So you need four eyes not two, so your dogs eyes have to be conected to yours and vice versa!! LOL :D
