  1. I am sure, there are other threads about this question. I did go through most of the posts but just did not find _the_ answer.. I feed Purina One and Simba seems to be healthy, shiny fur (the short hair he has) and good digestion. He does not like it too much, though, I always put something else in there (half a can of tuna, a tiny amount of cheese or a little bit of yoghurt). Now I don't want to change to raw food right away. I keep it in mind, but for right now, I think, I want to stay with dry food. I don't seem to be able to find a really good dry food in the store - I go to PetSmart. Where do you get your food and what seems to be a good dry food? And the same thing goes for cookies - what do you give your dogs? I always make sure, they don't have sugar or too much salt or some other funny things, and there seem to be less and less good cookies in the store. :-?
  2. I see what you mean and I agree - until it is clear who is top in the rank. :hand:
  3. @Irena: While I agree that it is probably more difficult with two females than with two males - I disagree, that the last dog is necessarily the lower dog in rank. I'm not much into the whole dominance thing, but this is a situation where it makes sense for me. If the new dog is stronger and wins in the 'who's the boss' fight, the owners should accept that. If they don't, they may make it more difficult, because the dogs may become insecure of that situation.
  4. I don't really have experience, other than having had another male dog for petsitting for a few weeks. But from what I have heard and seen, I think, it is important that the two dogs meet each other at a neutral place, outside Taz's 'territory'. Here you will also see, if they like each other or they don't. I guess, eventually some fights will happen as to see who's boss. 8)
