1. Thank DOG your safe! Sorry about you FIL being such a jackass though :( Does he NOT understand that your probably having a hard enough time WITHOUT his jackassness??? :o I'd take a dog or 2 if I could but I can't.

 3.

Well at the local shelter a few months back they had a litter of GSD/Pit mix puppies. They listed them as GSD mixes because they knew if they listed them as pit mixes nobody would want them. A few days later I came back only one was left. My point is that you could easily tell they had terrier in them. There was a family looking at them and they we're trying to figure out what they were mixed with. I didn't say anything because I had a feeling they'd go into how mean pits are and they shouldn't have them for adoption.
I see where you're coming from, but like Alan said, shouldn't they have been informed that they were also Pit Mixes? At least until they got attached to the puppy (so they wouldn't drop it like a hot potatoe). What if the pups had dog aggression later on in life? Just a Q. :)
Idk I don't do volunteer work there(thank dog or else i would have left long ago  ) so I felt it wasn't my place to say anything plus there was a volunteer coming in so I think she handled them but this family had more intrest in an older beagle I think anyway. But idk cuz I don't volunteer there. But the shelter Cinco is from they had him listed as Springer Spaniel mix on the card attached to his cage but his file they listed him as his entire breed mix.

 5. cool :D I've also seen the one educating people on spay/neuter :D
 6.
I get it Mei! Thanks for the good advice. It may be harder on me than it is on him!
I know it's so hard leaving our babies for that long :( we went to florida a few years back when we just had dahlila after the 1st day we missed her!. We also brought one of our slippers and some toys and her blankie bed
 7.
I talked to two of my neighbors today and told him about the butthead who was yelling about Pooh Bear. One of the neighbors lives right next to me, and the other one lives next to her. They both said that they never hear my dogs! And the one next door to me is retired, so she's home most of the time. So I know that they'll vouch for me and my dogs if it ever comes to that. I told them that I had Pooh Bear on a leash in the back yard. They both said why shouldn't he be able to run in his own yard? Oh well, there's always has to be one butthead in every neighborhood! Anyway, Pooh Bear is great on the retractable leash in the yard. I just feel bad that I can't let him go for fear that he'll bark at the squirrels and piss the butthead off. The fact that he told me I should have Pooh Bear put to sleep (for barking at squirrels) makes me afraid that maybe he would do something to my dogs if I got him any madder than he is. I'm going to start taking the three kids for walks more often too since I'm having to curtail Pooh Bear's exercise in the back yard.
I know somebody else suggested this already but if you're really that nervous about him doing something to any of your dogs then I don't about the laws by you but county laws here is that if somebody threatens you or YOUR ANIMALS and you call the cops they can order that the person stay away from your property and they can even arrest him for actualy threatening an animals life!
 8. awww :( Thanks for posting :D
 9.
I believe there's nothing harder than a rott's head! My Max (rest his soul) once dented the fender of our car when trying to chase a ball. He swung his head around and WHAM! It didn't even slow him down. :o I bet your husband won't be pulling that stunt again. I hope...
I have to disagree as well. My lab/pit mix could jump up and whan right in the chin! Chin would be numb for a few minutes.
 10. Is this the same one that called the cops the 1st time? Do what court said. If it were me I'd yell "You Shut-Up. Atleast my dog barking drowns out your fucking yelling for the most part!":evilbat: Oh and putting a puppy to sleep for barking? She should be pts! :evilbat: Some people!
 11. Just rememded me of one time I was at friends house and her cousin was on the pool steps playing with my friends puppy. Friends sister was just about to tell him to make sure he doesn't fall off the ledge but just as she said ledge the dog fell. But he was ok.
 12.
Tx, I know its a difficult time. And you know Dogoers will always have a shoulder for you to cry on, whatever you decide. But I was just wondering one thing, why did you need a GSD to protect you? On every single Dog Site I have ever visited, they mention that getting a dog just to guard you is a no-no. Couldn't you have gotten a burgalur alarm? And from what your friend posted, it seems she isn't that good at gaurding anyway. Where was she from? I hate to bring up the past, don't answer if you don't want to! Just wondering.. Good luck.
Rowie maybe TX's last post will help
and i never said i couldnt handle what anyone was saying actually i apologized for letting my emotions get the best of me and said everyone has a right to there opinion....i appreciate all the support but that is not the only reason i came here i came for advice and i took it and i learned from it the only reason i got upset at the post is because when rotten two said her first reaction to me getting a dog was whoooa i dont recall ever telling anyone if i had any experience or not or if my husband did so i am presumming that she thought that just cuz of someone elses previous post about asking if i should get a dog cuz i do know that one of friends put a thread on her if i should get on or not or cuz she didnt know me and just figured cuz i got a dog it was bad....as for the breed her being a german shepard i have no problem with there breeds my husband is in love with that certain breed and that is what he has experience with so of course i would get an animal that he knew about...i also didnt know about kids until i had my first and that didnt stop me from having my second and i am sure someone said whoooa i shouldnt of had my daughter cuz i had no experience...now for those of you that are worried that i might run out and get another dog i wont this is a hard decision so if that is your fear dont worry about that it isnt going to happen anytime soon
13. I still stand by what I said before. Sure now it's just a nik but that doesn't mean that the next time(which now theres the possiblity)they may not be so lucky. Most of us were more conserened about where the nik was! Any lower and she could've caused damage to his eye. If she rehomes her then if Star bites again she could just get shifted to another place until eventualy she's at a shelter. I agree with everyone else. The childs safety needs to come first.
 14. CC, I posted on ur thread there in ur defence and them people over there can be um whats the word? Idiots sometimes
 15. Well if it were me I'd do what the vet recamended because someone could adopt her but return her to the rescue because she bit again. But it's up to YOU to decide whats best for her because most of us don't know you and your dogs.
 16. um check the dates
 17.
hahahah, I saw FH and was thinking "Why is your friend asking you about a Future Husband? And what does Laurel have to do with all this?"
*Spits soda all over screen* I'm sorry but it took me a few minutes to think what she ment by FH to until I saw BM's post!
 18. I don't think it's an issue as long as she knows her place  Cinco is like that to but if any of them starts testing us they're getting put on hard NILIF!
 19. Ok Jilld ESS dogs are also b&w! I know I have ESS mix and I've done research on BOTH his breeds. http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/englishspringerspaniel.htm
 20. Don't blame yourself court! The lady is an idiotic airhead most likely  I agree with Majiesmom. Our vet has a boarding kennel at the clinic and they have a rule that you can't bring dogs in or out of the boarding room(this also goes for regular visits) until the hall is clear of ALL dogs!
 21. I think a trip to the vet is in order. See if you can pay them when you get money?
 22. I see it.
 23.
Hello, the trail is in Big Bend. A am also meeting a feww ppl from another board there. It sounds like a great time.
I still can't go even though it's not far from here :( saving money for the ebhs wag walk in september.
