1. matty, it is different when someone sees an accident like this that these owners were fORTUNATE enough to come across and be able to love, and when some lowlife thinks crossing two breeds will get him some pocket change. we have no need for more breeds. and what I dont understand is why some people dont see that. anyway, spike i think is absolutely adorable, i love those strange dogs like that. to me, he looks like a happy healthy dog that just has some oddly attracted parents!
2. i dont see anything wrong with it. sure, it is out of the ordinary, but that doesn't mean she's insane. if it was seen more often, then there wouldnt be as much fuss about it. she wasn't hurting anyone. jmo.
3. that's so sad for the kid. horrible person to be so careless like that. at least they're saying it's not because the dog is a pit bull! i hate when news says that. it probably was protecting her babies, and probably didn't know the child was not a threat. still that person should have been up watching both the dog and the child. :o
4. yellow labs vary greatly in colour.some are light yellow and are sometimes called "white" Labs, while others have a deeper colour. the same goes for golden retrievers.
5. i do not have any Sloughis, but i know what you mean. they're such gracefull animals. i am partial, however, to the Azawakh. :D
6. hehe, here's a little bit of history from my head. the stabyhoun (not stabyhound) dates back to the 1500s. it is native to the netherlands and outside of here, it is rarely seen. even inthe netherlands it is a rare sight with only about 200 or so pups born a year. it is happy retrieving in the field, or in the local city park :D it is in many ways one of the perfect family companions. and according to my friends kids, a perfect pillow too, they love to cuddle in his fur.
7. jmo, i retire my breeding bitches at 6 years old. sometimes 5.
8. a lady in the pet supply store with her [elderly looking] cocker spaniel was picking up a few books on breeds. i thought nothing of it at first, i do the same (as a matter of fact at my count now i have 32 individual breed books and 8 all-breed books, as well as 3 training books and 5 breeding awareness books!) when i went to pay for the new toys i bought for my youngest Pei Shakespeare, she cut me off! she asked the [maybe 20 year old] boy at the counter if he knew anything about breeding dogs, and said she wanted to breed her cocker spaniel with another cocker spaniel her friend has because she wanted puppies. :x i was peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeved. i asked her if she wanted to breed the cocker she had with her, and she said yes! that cocker looked AT LEAST 7 or 8 years old, gray around the face and didn't look at all happy. :-? :(
9. arent they gorgeous. some people confuse Stabyhoun pictures with Landseers. they're much smaller though, but i see why in pictures people confuse the two.
10. :o give....to...me...NOW. finally something odder than my wrinklies. this is a Peruvian Inca Orchid these too are one of my most favourite breeds. this is a Stabyhoun. a friend of mind has one, gorgeous dog and so well-mannered.
11. my son has light eyes, and his ears to tip a little. is he part wolf? :o please, help to uncover my case.
12. please do, i feel so sorry for this poor lady and her dogs being caged up. and im gld i could give you some pics seijun. :) gooooood luuuuck
13. well i certainly did nothing wrong, i thought. i was just singing a little diddy in the kitchen while i was cleaning, and one of my males walked in and howled at me crazily and started whining! i felt so bad  youd think i'd stabbed his ears, which, i guess he thought i was trying to. no more singing for me hehehehe.
14. sounds like someone needs a life. or a spouse. id report it to the site administration. if you can do that.
15. i think this is the saddest man i've ever read about. youd think with him being in the field of work he's in, he'd know people make a dog, unless the dog is born without a home and grows up on the streets, how can you honestly say the dog is "out of whack"? even if the dog is "wild", it's not out of whack, it's just a DOG!   i too have never met an "evil" pit bull. all i have met just wanted to give kisses and chase the ball in the garden. :P
16. i have a friend in the states who shows her dogs (she has an ibizan hound and a lowchen, an odd combo i agree). she adores the pit bull breed and does as much as she can in rescue orgs to help, but her home owners insurance says she can't have them :-( i find this a little sad that she can't own one of her most beloved breeds. she loves her two dogs now and she's more than happy, but i think she should be allowed to own the breed she pleases. anyone else seen or had an experience like this? they do it with so many breeds, i think it's unfair.
17. theyre not just like humans, but you can not lump them all together. that is VERY apparent if you read new stories. you can't honestly believe every basset hound is an adorable little loose skinned angel. i know of a few chow chows who are never aloof with strangers, and yes they're pure, they compete along side me. they are happier running up to people and jaunting about with them than barking at them and being scarce in their presence. i know plenty of rottweilers who are afraid of strangers. you cannot say that every dog in every breed is the same. LIKE HUMANS, they are NOT all the same just because they are of the same breed.
18. i know those dogs. never seena puppy though, as adults their coat cords up. theyre nice dogs if you live by water, they love the stuff.
19. i use chicken wire. im weary of invisifences because i know of someone who's dog busted right thru it and couldn't get back in. i think if a doggy has enough will power, it can jet right through them. but i guess it's not so bad if you use it underneath another chainlink fence. :niewiem:
20. i think every man and woman should be cautious around any dog. breed has nothing to do with it. any dog can turn on you in a split second and i dont believe any one breed is more likely to do it than another. kind of like saying one human race is more aggressive than the other, but down to it, we're all just a bunch of dogs  .
21. i managed to find a lot of other sites from breeders and owners. so here we go... a litter of primarily red puppies. this is where it came from. http://www.puppyshop.com/kennels/alaskanmal_hudsons.htm here's a lovely dog too and here's where i got the pict from http://www.wayeh.com/aboutsleddogs/description.htm i think that should satisfy. :)
22. red mals usually have light amber to yellowish orange eyes. Dannii's Bella from Western Australia this is where i got the pic from: http://stott.customer.netspace.net.au/malamute.htm
23. ive met lots of nice labradors and lots of not so nice ones. in the end, it's not the dogs fault that most of humanity is made up of idiots. luckily people like us still exist to make forums like these to make people aware of the trouble going on in the dog world. JM2Cents
24. not afro  an africanis! i just discovered this breed not long ago and believe you me i am impressed. i did lots of searching on them, and finally got touch with an owner of 2 puppies who is also ver pleased. they are one of the oldest "breeds" there are. they've been kept mostly by tribes, and bred for centuries as hunting dogs. i think they're one of my new favourites for sure! i think they look so rustik! here's an interesting article too. http://www.wag.co.za/root_news/a_dog_africa_calls_its_own.html there's not too much info on this breed, but im scrounging up more, no worries! :D
25. well i try not tell this story much, but one of my bitches was stacked perfectly at a show once. it took judges forever to get to us, when they did, my bitch was so sick of waiting that she sat down on the judges foot! i dont think i've ever been so  in my life.
