Ahh, my dog Misty used to sleep in my bed.. he would come right up to the side and scratch to wake me up, then I had to lift up the cover with my leg so that he could get in! He would never sleep on top of the covers it always had to be in! :roll: He would come in muddy and wet sometimes from the garden if it had been raining, and because I was so sleepy I wouldn't notice until the morning when we got out, and the inside of my bed was covered with muddy paw prints! Kodi sleeps on my bed occasionaly, but he usually gets too hot and sleeps downstairs. I always get kisses from Kodi and Rio, but if you want a kiss from Ellie, you've got to lick her on the nose first! :-? Ellie is really cuddly aswell, and I sometimes pick her up and put her on my lap while I'm on the computer, but that is hard cos I have to type with one hand! :lol: As for farting, God don't even get me started..Kodi and Rio never stop. it's because they're men. If you sit in a room with them, with no tv or anything making a noise on, every few minutes you hear a puff of air, then you have to hold your nose for a few minutes, because they absolutely stink the place out! :x

Ohh, I'd say go for it rosebud!!!!!!! :lol: Oops, hope I didn't ruin the support group :-? Go on...you know you wanna, and if you don't mind doing all of the above then what the hey! You have to walk the others anyway, so you might as well have a l'il fluffy one to come along too!!!!! :P :P :P

Yeah, I was going to suggest a flat bed, that way they can't get to big for it.. :D Kodi's got a big leopard print :o bed, which wooluuf made for him :) It's just a big double bed sized blanket folded over with a duvet inside and then sewn up round the edge..this might be cheaper! :D

Yeah Kodi can bark, but he doesn't do it much..the same as Mals He makes weird noises, like if I'm doing his dinner and I'm taking too long..he makes like a growly rorororow sortta noise..ok not that gooda description, but I guess you get the idea.. :roll:

Ahhh, good luck Science Doc! I wouldn't be too worried about the howling..Kodi hasn't ever howled before and hes a pure husky :o mind you he might just be waiting to spring it on me... :-?

Well, I'm not sure exactly how long it will last..! :roll: As soon as I got him, I started training recalls, as I knew this was important, and so far (he is 6 months now) he has been quite good. I use the term 'good' loosely! he has his moments when he'll spot a dog and not be able to resist, but if I call him, he'll usually come back straight away. He LOVES kids though, and there are always kids playing football at our park, that is his only downfall, he'll run up and try to join in! :roll: They have learnt by now, that his main aim is to pop the ball, so they pick it up if they see him coming! He is pretty good though, and he is fine if I walk him with my sisters dogs, because they just play. he has a wonderful temperament though, which he gets from his parents..he's such a laid back dog!! BTW why did you name him Kato, we call our cat that, cos she jumps out at you.. :o

God Basenji's! Theydon't bark, they yodel..anyone ever heard one? Yikes :-?

It really makes me mad when people get dogs just because they look cute. I must have done about a years research on Sibes before I actually got one, I booked his training classes and he started them at 10 weeks old, and had to skip the puppy class because he had learnt the basics already. I can let him off the lead, he is not aggressive, he is excellent with other dogs, children, cats and ferrets! I reckon that most of the things you hear about dogs being bad with certain things I.E husky's running away All the time, is because people get them for the image and don't bother to train them, until it gets out of hand and is too late. That is why breeds like Dobermann, Staffs, Rotties etc have reputations for ebing aggressive, because people get them for the image and no nothing about how to train them properly. There is a family down the road form me who have a Sibe a week younger than Kodi and it is aggressive, untrained, noisy, they ended up asking me for advice, because they saw how much better behaved Kodi was. Mind you I gave them all the information on our training club and they never came.. :roll: Some people! :evil:

Oh Shara, I totally agree as you know, with Aroura.. After our dog Misty died it was awful..and I so wish we had got another dog straight after, instead of putting it off again and again. But now I have Kodi, I see little bits of Misty's character in him, as though a part of him is in Kodi, and it's really lovely, you will probably find this with your puppy. :angel: I also know what you mean about seeing her afterwards..when I worked in a vets I had to help with several euthenaisia's(sp?) and it is so strange. I once had to sit with a Dobermann, because its owner couldn't bear to stay with it. And it's as though you can feel the spirit drift away from the body, which is actually a really good feeling if you have a dog that is very sick, or very scared, their pain just drifts away with it. You know we are all thinking of you, and are here for you to tell us all about the little puppies when you get back in a couple of days! :D Love ya lots Lannie xx

I'm there in spirit also, as Hazel falls asleep, dreaming of all those walks at the lake, and of the fun you had..as she closes her big brown eyes for the last time. I'll tell our old misty dog who is waiting for me and ellieangel at the bridge, to take care of sweet little Hazel. My thoughts and prayers are with you Shara xxxxxxx
