1. Aww yipee for you crested!!!! :D I love the hairless, we have some that come into the salon. Theres a man who has 4 dogs, 2 ccpp and a hairless, and a tibetan terrier I think..he brings them in every weekend, one weekend the two girls, and the next the boys! He loves them so much, and they are all rescue dogs! :) Not that a hairless dog needs trimming or bathing that often, but never mind!! Yeah they can have quite bad jaw problems can't they, one of the powder puffs, Gizmo has a really overshot jaw, and I think that is why he got put in rescue. He's so cute though! If you hold him up while he is being bathed, he kicks his legs like he is trying to swim! He doesn't struggle just does a sort of slow little doggy paddle! Is it normal for the pp to be different sizes? cos Winston is really big, and Gizzy is alot smaller :-? When they come in we always have a special little bed ready for them on the side, and they sit there and watch us, they stay all day, cos we love them...! Blossom is a little sweetie too, she is the hairless, its weird cos in the winter her skin goes really pink, and in the summer is goes almost black! Do any of your get spots on there backs? She always has them, like little black heads on her back...we don't pick them...at all  I think they are the sort of dogs I will want when I'm old, as little companion dogs..I love them!
2. I have thought about this, It is quite worrying, especially when you have a strong dog on the end of the lead. I do have a flexi for Kodi, and am using it at the moment, because I'm having problems with his recall and can't always let him off the lead. He is fine in an empty park, or if he is with other dogs that he knows, like ellie and rio, but if he is alone and spots another dog, no matter how far away, he will bolt, and nothing I do or shout will get him to stop. I know that you are supposed to wait for them to come back of their own accord, but if it is a vicious dog that he has gone after, he could end up seriously hurt. Snarling and growling doesn't put him off, he just goes back for more, and when the other dogs owner is shouting at you to come and get your dog, you can't do anything but run after and tell him off. So he is on the flexi now, as he needs to be able to run around, until I know that there are no other dogs in the park, and then I let him off. But there are also alot of foxes near us, so if he spots one, he chases  Now I have started deliberately going there when I know dogs will be around, and while hes on his lead I put him in a down and say leave, until the dog has gone, then give him a treat when he does. Kodi doesn't tend to bolt on his lead because he knows he wont get anywhere, but there is always that worry that if he did, would the lead become detatched from the handle? I think they can be ok if used by people who know what they are doing, but some people can be so irrisponsible, and just let their dog run at full speed to the end of the lead. This is very dangerous, as the further away the dog gets the more force you get at the other end, and when you have a strong dog it is very difficult to hold on, as well as it being very bad for the dogs neck. Aren't there long line leads you can buy? I want to get one for Kodi, but haven't seen them. I would have thought they can do the same sort of thing, without the danger.
3. Hi pup1!!!! Whereabouts are you from? You'll have to put up some piccies of your puppies for us all to see! As soon as my sis (ellieangel) gets her digital camera there'll be plently of Kodi and her two I expect. Kodi is my Siberian husky 9 months old...my baby!! But you probably guessed that from my avatar already, that is the only photo I've got up at the mo, and that was taken by the breeder when he was just 8 weeks old! Ahhh! :D
4. :D :D Thanks everyone!!!! :D :D I'll have to come on here every thursday I think, when I come over to dog training..cos I never have enough time at home!! :( Yeah, so I am working at a grooming parlour, at the moment just bathing, brushing out, nails, glands (ewww)!! etc.. I have learnt some things, like how to cut spaniels feet and clipper out the ears, but will be starting my proper training in September! YAY! Then you can all bring me your doggies to make them look pretty!!! :D Love you all!!!!!! :D Speak to you again as soon as I can!
5. Hi everyone!! :D Long time no see! Sorry I haven't been on here for aaaaaaaages, but I am a busy working girl now... :( I looked at view posts since last visit as I came on, over 1000 :o Ooops!!!! Anyway, you have to fill me in on all the important happenings, and new puppies! :D YAY! I have missed chatting to you lot, glad I have finally had a chance to come back on here to speak to you again!!
6. Thanks everyone!!!!!!!! I was so proud of my little boy! Even though he was norty... He kept pulling at his lead and he wouldn't stand up for the judge!
7. Aww, hey thats a really good idea! Like friends reunited, but for puppies!!!!! I have stayed in touch with Kodi's (private) breeders, who own the mum and dad, and that is really nice, we write and email each other all the time, and I send them photos, and tell them how he's getting on...Its great! :D We are (hopefully!) going to meet up again at a show in August, which should be great fun, one of his sisters is owned by a relative of theirs too, so hopefully we'll see her aswell!!
8. Aww, I sometimes I wish I were a dog, they are so carefree, and happy all the time! Sigh... I feel as though I have had Kodi forever, I cant imagine life without a dog, I really dont get people who are like, anti-dogs, and say 'I hate dogs' How can you hate dogs?! I cant understand people who dont go all soppy and stupid when they see a puppy! I have a friend who wont even look at Kodi, even when he was a little tiny ball of fluff! He LOVED her though, it was really sad! :o She used to scream whenever he jumped up at her.........Stupid cat person....
9. hehe!   'Rocket runs himself out of the room alot' Is that where he got his name from Rosebud?! You could try charcoal bonios, they are supposed to help by absorbing the gases I think!
10. Kodi starts 'talking' if I take too long with his D-I-N-N-E-R!! I put some toast in in the mornings, and whenever he hears the toaster pop up, he gets really excited and starts leaping around the kitchen. It's a bit annoying when ou are making it for yourself though! Do anyone elses dogs butrp really loudly after their meal? Kodi does like a human it's so funny. Sometimes he does it right in my face though! :-? EWWW
11. Aww, puppy power!!! Can't wait to see them photos, you should hush it up though I think Rosebud has severe puppy envy syndrome. :o
12. Thats not a silly idea starfox, It's a good one.. :D Hopefully it will work, and he will learnt that doing it is wrong. If not you could try the crate idea, but as he is not used to one you would have to train him to get used to it first :-?
13. Lucky BK!! :D
14. :bigcry: WE COULDN'T GO!!!!!! :bigcry: I got up early this morning, gave Kodi a bath and brushed him all pretty, and then my sister (wolluff) phoned me to say she was sick, so I didn't have a lift up there... :( Then my mum said she would take me, so I got all ready to go, and she suddenly was in a really bad mood, and kept asking if we had to go..so I said don't bother..and took Kodi out for a great big long walk. F*cking parents... Never mind I guess we'll just have to wait a while until theres another one...
15. Good luck LUKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8)
16. Umm, actually Rowie I lied, I'm not really very little at all! :bigcry: I am 5'8'', but I am skinny, can I still come? :o
17. hey everyone, just thought we'd let you know, that Ellie, Rio and Kodi will be attending they're first show tomorrow!! :o Should be a laugh, we are probably going to enter: Kodi in best pedigree puppy Then, Rio in best condition short coat, Rio and Kodi in most handsome dog, Ellie in prettiest bitch Ellieangel's kids will be doing child handler with Kodi :-? And we might enter Rio, Ellie, Kodi into Elementary obedience, if we are feeling brave enough!!! :o Anyway, we will take the camera and show you the pics when we get back, so wish us luck...we're gonna need it!!!!!!!!!!
18. Ahh, she is a pretty little thing! What breed is she?
19. Our dogs LOVE pigs ears!! Sometimes they are really gross and hairy :o Has anyone got a Wilkinson store near to them? They sell HUGE knuckle bones for dogs in there which are like 60p! hey, how come they don't sell pizzle over here, I feel deprived! :(
20. :o Oh dear, just realised I DO sing to the dogs... That song Girls and Boys by good charlotte was just on the telly, and Rio looked at me with those great big eyes.. I sang, I love Reggie, he is such a honeeeeyyy! instead of Girls dont like boys, girls like cars and money!!!!
21. YIPEE!!!!!!!! You got her! Yay for you!!!!!!! What are you going to call her?? Aww I'm so happy for you, she sounds spoilt rotten, and hey, well done with training her so fast, sounds like shes gonna be a clever little thing! Hope she gets on well with your other pets, she sounds like such a sweetie! :D :D :D Good luck Science doc! :Dog_run:
22. Aww, I'm sorry Marion, poor little girl :( I really hope the vet can find out what the problem is and sort it out :( I don't get why the vet couldn't just do the blood test today, surely it only takes a couple of seconds to take it..or is it just that he can't send it off till Tuesday?
23. Ahh, I'm telling all ellieangel's stories tonight, as she is out at a wedding reception, and I am doggie sitting as usual  Just kidding, I love it when I don't have to anything 'cept play with doggies all evening, and go on here of course, her comp is faster than mine.. Anyway, theres an advert on the UK living channel where a doorbell rings at every advert break. God, it's a nightmare, we prepare ourselves for when it comes on with the remote to mute it , cos they'll keep on barkig until we answer the door to sow them that no ones there, then they get really confused. They do it everytime there is a doorbell the same as hers on TV.. If you miaow at the aswell they think the cat has come in and go look for it..even though they can be looking right at you when you are making the noise. You have to do a very distinctive sound though, cos their cat(who I now have, cos he got fed up of being chased by the terrible twins) makes a very odd noise, its a miaow that sounds like he's saying ONION. I wonder how many of you I got doing trying to make that sound. :D very odd animals :o
24. We know someone who uses a treadmill for his dogs (pitt bulls), as they are not allowed off the lead. Maybe you should try it! But they are probably really expensive! :-? I would love to get one for Kodi AND me if I had the money..I would go out running if I didn't run like such a fool. Anyone seen the friends where Pheobe runs?.....thats me. :o
25. there aren't actually many dads on here are there, it's mostly us girlies.. What's wrong with guys these days,
