  1. our blue heeler is starting to turn red. we read a little about creeping red but none of the sites have very much info about the problem (or whatever you want to call it). if anyone has such knowledge please share it with us. thanks.
  2. well said. i agree.
  3. you stupid idiot. what the hell are you thinking? i agree deep, you actually pi$$ed me off too. if you cant be smart enough to figure out that you are not breeding a dog that is safe around other dogs and kids then you shouldnt be a breeder at all. then again you are probably the type of breeder that doesnt care who buys the dog as long as you get the money. and the only experience you have with breeding is inbreeding, and im not talking about the dog. if you have any ba!!s, and im sure you dont, you will respond and correct yourself. have fun in the back hills.

    Sick sick sick!

i wonder how i would feel to put those people in the same chamber. i think it would be funny. sorry.
  5. mckinsey bit him just above that top pad on the back of his front paw. kind of a weird spot. but yes it was just one tooth mark. i hope this behavior doesnt continue because bruiser is getting to be twice her size and im afraid that one of these times he is going to get sick of her always roughing him up and let her have it. as far as your seperating idea we are currently using it. the problem is we only have two baby gates that seperate the rooms between them. bruiser is very strong for his size and likes to get a running start at them to knock them down. he is a little beast. we will figure something out. i dont want to just shut him in room by himself because he still likes to chew and ruin things. i figure that as long as he can see her he will be a little occupied with figuring a way to get to her. i dont know, if i figure it out i will let you know.
  6. thats a good question but unfortunately i cant even begin to answer it. i too am having a problem with a dog of mine being mean to my other. i have my two acds. one female spayed and the other male not spayed. the female is a eighteen months old and the male six months old. when we first got bruiser, the male, we had mckinsey for about three months or so. when bruiser was about four months we left one day for about two hours or so with those two in big room by themselves. when we got back bruiser was tore up. we had to take him to the vets to get 22 staples. then yesterday my wife left for awhile and when she came back there was blood all over the house. so much blood that when i got home there was blood on my back porch and started acting like a cop and marine at the same time. im sure i looked like the swat team in my back yard. anyway, it turns out that all it was is mckinsey bit bruiser in the paw and just got an artery. luckily the little guy didnt bleed to death. i would have been extremely angry. im not sure what to do about mckinsey. i dont know if she is being overly aggressive or just trying to prove a point. anyway this is your post. im sorry i cant help.
  7. oh i was just curious about the age requirements out on the west coast. i didnt know if us midwesterners did do things different.
  8. you have opened a whole can of well stuff. it all depends on what kind of work the dog is going to be doing. one of my best friends is a k9 unit. he uses a german shepard. we also use a rot. they dont have near as good of a sniffer as say a bloodhound. thats why they are used as tracking dogs often. but on the other hand the hounds are not as agile and smart as a shepard. i hope you see my point. at what age are you aloud to apply for an officer position in your state. anywhere i know of its 21.
  9. thats good sh!t. im glad you know its all about the training. i believe dogs are like people, some are born a little meaner than others but can be changed if loved and trained. good on your dogs
  10. you are more than welcomed here ALWAYS. just dont accuse people of jumping to conclusions while you are jumping to conclusions yourself. and please quit reminding people that you are hurt (not to be rude but get over it). everyone here will be very kind to you if you are kind to them. otherwise we become very defensive if someone attacks one of the family.

    ACD's

thanks a lot. i got a lot of info from all the web sites.
  12. dam* it. did i miss something? when did we start breeding those freakin gremlins with monkeys? and can you put it in water? can you feed it past midnight? sorry i havent heard of it either.
  13. i havent noticed. sorry
  14. I will definately defend you mei-mei. im sorry and do not mean to come off wrong but i think your attacks on mei-mei are unwarranted and seem to be rude. I sit here and read her posts trying to figure out how you think she is being rude and after reading them 4 times I still cant figure out where you are coming from. again im not trying to be too rude to you, but just watch the toes you step on. when you are on this site rest assured that the people here are the kindest, most helpful people you will meet. i will not say im some scholar or something but i can figure out that she was only trying to help, not trying to hurt. and as far as not knowing how to treat humans she and the rest have always tried to help with everything, even non-dog related things. so just be aware of the things you write, and if you need to before you jump to conclusions just ask the person what they meant before you accuse them of attacking you.
  15. i signed too. sick bastard
  16. i dont want to come off like im sticking my 2 sense in but it kind of sounds like he doesnt know exactly who the boss is (i mean that in a way not to step on your toes). maybe its time to show him your can be the alpha dog too. if that doesnt work i have obtained some kick butt recipes.
  17. well boomer, you can shove you single minded opinion up your a$$. the next time you come on here to attack someone you better think twice. as far as me calling my dog a bastard you are right i shouldnt have called him a bastard. i now realize i wasted that bastard on him when i should of called you a bastard. next, if you think that me being a marine automatically gives me huge amounts of testosterone maybe you should of joined the marines but then again your lack of balls would just have gotten you weeded out with the 10% that dont have what it takes. i sure hope your dog is not as much of a P.O.S. as the owner, because after all the behavior is directly related to the training it recieves from the owner. poor dog. please feel free to pm me or call me for that matter. hell maybe we can be friends and i can stop by and you can give me some of your expert advice on how to properly raise my dogs. after that i would be happy to properly untrain you from being an idiot. thanks for the laugh. i look forward to hearing from you.
  18. Just wanted to let everyone know: First, this is USMCBYRD'S WIFE! Thank goodness I have contacts! :) Second, it was a total fluke that our puppy got a hold of my glasses in the first place. I will not bother to explain what all the circumstances were cuz quite frankly, it is none of your business. I must say that I put my glasses out of Bruiser's reach. Can we now be told of how idiotic and wrong we are for naming a dog Bruiser? So until one knows the facts perhaps you should not indicate that something was SOMEONE'S fault!!! Third, I feel my husband has every right to call OUR dog anything he pleases. I am not one to really write obscenities on a public board but he does. That is his call. And just for your info, it is not uncommon for us to call EACH OTHER obscenities while joking around. Our lifestyle and choice phrases should be none of your concern. Forth, testosterone levels have nothing to do with this. Fifth, we are training our pup quite nicely. It's not like we have a dog that is chewing up everything in sight (although he'd like to) and he is not peeing and pooping all over our house. I come from a quite "knowledgable" family. And saying that we lack ability is down right ignorant on your part for you do not know us, our skills, our knowledge, or our background! Sixth, yes USMC does stand for UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS and proud of it. Also indicating no lack of confidence! So please, Boomer, take the idiot stick, point it at yourself, and shove it! To everyone else HAVE A LOVELY DAY. And thank you for all that have given my husband something enjoyable and constructive to do! :D
  19. I GOT A FREAKIN PAW. THATS GOOD SH#T.
  20. hey, i voted. you are winning right now but you need some more votes. when i was on you had 39% and the next guy had 38% so you had better get busy
  21. My australian cattle dogs name: mckenzie (kenzie for short) weight: 32 lbs. 18 in. color: red speckle age: 18 months she is very lovable and is the best dog I could ask for. the other beast is bruiser weight: 43 lbs. and still growing very quickly color: a very good blue age: 24 weeks tomorrow he is the very goofy big dog. surprisingly not very clumsy though. he is growing way to fast for me. i thought he wasnt supposed to get that darn big.
  22. i would definately say that they are very beautiful and large dog. they look to be pretty similar to pits and mastiffs. do you know what was used to create the breed? they look pretty awesome. i have a hard time believing that just because someone breeds a dog for fighting that they will always be fighters (not saying anyone said that). i think its all in the owner. give em love, get love.
  23. i did the whole easy thing with my puppy. i put the treat in my fingers so it was just barely sticking out. he was a big lunger. he liked to bite. it only took a couple of times telling him easy and the occasional tap on the nose telling him easy. that worked real well for me. now if we have a treat he takes it very very easy. the other dog wont take the treat if it involves touching our skin with her teeth. when she plays thats another story.
  24. im almost there. congratulations
  25. just to let everyone know i have a very dry sense of humor and will make the occasional jacked up comment but it is in nothing but fun and games and i love my dogs more than anything. i would never in any way, shape, or form hurt my dogs. just all fun and games
