:cry: I agree. the puppy is handed to rescue centre or worse straight to the vet. I feel they should get a 12 month ban from keeping another dog. Maybe have to go on a course about responsible ownership :cry:

I have been to the vet with Gladis. She is not having puppies she is booked in 27 november to be spayed. She will be half way between first and second season. My vet is aware early spaying goes on but he would not do it on a pure bred dog. The risk of anaesthetic on a puppy of 8/10 weeks old. There is only a small increased rise of cancer Waiting untill later. After the first season the organs are their full size so the risk of incontinence later in life reduces. He did understand in the shelter situation the reasons for the dogs being spayed early. :roll:

I WAS THINKING THE SAME AS BENSAM. YOU MUST BE YOUNG. ALSO PEOPLE MUST THINK THE SAME OF ME AT CLASS NIGHT BUT I NOW FIND I AM ONLY A FEW YEARS OLDER THAN YOU. EVERY DOG YOU GET YOU TAKE TO CLASSES YOU DO NOT JUST TAKE THE FIRST DOG THEN PASS YOUR SKILLS ON TO YOUR NEXT. HE OR SHE GOES TO CLASES TOO :) :) :) :) I LAUGHED SO MUCH

IT IS VERY CLOSE NOW 43 IN FAVOR OF A BAN 57 AGAINS. ONLY CERTAIN PEOPLE SHOULD BE BANNED FROM OWNING ANY BREED OF DOG :wink:

I do not know how much goverment money is spent on animal shelters in the UK maybe ROO knows. They depend on sponsership and donations from the pubic :wink:

Going to see my vet on Thursday I will make a comment then

If people will pay they will charge it. I have heard of those pupies going for OVER

I have heard of breeders having puppies micro-chipped before the puppy goes to their new owner :wink: :wink: :wink: bk I think a collar and adress/phone number tag for a few weeks :wink:

I think it depends on the size of the dog. When we paid for ALICE it included the tests,treatments ect. you just want to pay the bill and get out. at the time you do not care what you are paying too many emotions going around inside you :cry:

She is doing well. When I first got Paddy AND Gladis when one of them cried to go out I would have to pick Paddy up and run for the door if I let him run he would drip all the way. It does not take long it just feels like it takes for ever :wink: :wink: :wink:

Alice used to do it when we had her. Kiwi that made me laugh but sounds a good idear :D :D

sorry my guess wrong i have only had short hair dogs :roll: AROURA my vet will not spray gladis untill inbetween seasons i am very happy and trust him :-?

here in the UK we are at the end of the summer and she did not do it before it was a one of the other day :)

WE WOKE UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT HEARING A FUNNY NOISE MY HUSBAND WENT DOWN TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON. IT WAS GLADIS HE PUT HER OUT SIDE SHE WAS SICK. WHEN SHE CAME BACK IN SHE WOULD NOT STOP LICKING THE CARPET. HE BOUGHT HER UP TO ME SHE STILL WANTED TO LICK THE CARPET I GOT HER UP ON THE BED TO STOP HER SHE WAS HOT SHE WAS MAKING A SOUND SOMEWHERE INBETWEEN A COUGH AND A HICCUP GOT HER COOL WITH A FAN NEXT DAY SHE IS FINE.ANYONE ANY IDEAR IT WAS VERY WORRING AT THE TIME SHE HAS JUST FINISH HER FIRST HEAT SEASON:o

DO YOU MEAN SPAYED/FIXED never to have puppies if so ask your local vet some will do it at around 5/6 months others prefare to wait untill after the first season.do it inbetween the first and second season. :wink: hope i have helped :wink: :wink:
