Od października 2009 r. dostępne jest również badanie genetyczne w kierunku mutacji PLL (Primary Lensd Luxation - zwichnięcia soczewki). Testami na PLL zajmują się dwa laboratoria:
OFA - w Stanach Zjednoczonych
AHT - w Anglii
