Hello,
I am new here, and i come from germany so excuse my bad english please.

I learned english at school. Where i was told a dog is a neuter (in grammar).

If you have a dog girl named Kaya (like mine) do you say "My dogs name is Kaya, she loves to play with the ball"
or is it the right way to say: "My dogs name is Kaya, it loves to play with the ball"?

I hope you can help me about this.
