rotten_two Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 yay aspen's regular vet (the one who does acu & chiro) is back from vacation and we went for a follow up yesterday. the good news is that his blood work came back normal (despite the fact he has been on a low dose prednisone for a year). the cultures and scrapings were also negative. this means it is not bacterial and neither is it mange. so that leaves some really crappy stuff like lupus and various autoimmune disorders  when i told her that her business partner had recommended PUR-Fucking-RINA her eyes bugged out and she flipped. i also wanted her to look at aspen's teeth because they are really dirty despite my brushing efforts. he is not a bone/toy chewer because of his jaw problems so he gets a lot of tartar. the vet took molar extractors and chipped most of the plaque off. i gotta get me one of them tools! she got most of his back teeth. i realize to do it right he would have to be in la la land but this will help! so that's where we are -- still waiting! he has an appt in a week to remove stitches and the results will be in then.
