One on me

My husband and I went out for dinner tonight (Reuben sammiches and cheese fries... mmmm), and a pet store is located by our favorite restaurant in this little shopping center. "Porkie" caught my attention. Porkies? I can only assume it's a Pug/Yorkie mix, but it sure sounds like a weird mix. I'm used to all the doodles and poos and such... but Porkie? I tried my best to get a look at one of them, but they were asleep behind glass and all I got was a look at their butts which looked just like the butts of any other dog.

See the insane price for these things? Crazy stuff. This is the store that I used to buy my dog food from, but when they started selling live animals, I had to dump them. Porkies... I thought I'd heard it all. :-?

My brother used to have a purebred Cocker Spaniel named Porkie! But the Porkie "breed" is a new one on me! What next!

That is an insane price to pay for a mixed breed, mutt, Heinz 57, what have you. I read an article somewhere about how Labradoodles are selling for tons of $$, and they are a mixed breed just like any dog you could get at the pound in need of a good home. :roll:
