A friend of a friend wants to breed minpins. She is a doggy fashion accessory person  so naturally I want to discourage her or at the very very least ensure she does it right. She is one of those people who shutdown when someone tells them anything they don't want to hear. My best option at this point is to show her petfinder and hook her up with some one REALLY ethical as a mentor - which would discourage any sane person or at least show them how to do it right.

So anyone know any reputable MinPin Breeder in the SW Ontario Area or an extremely ethical breeder of any smaller breed in the same area??

ahhh succses and the legend him self, this old man is 90+ and still he gos to every dog show, still wining world shows. if you come to a judge that knows somthing about pinchers with a dog you got from david eprhat the judge will imidiatlly recognize the dog, and from where he came from with out you telling him.
if you want to find good breeders just put the name of the kennel or the name of this breeder and see how many will show
and now some pics of my idol, i dont like the breed but you got to admire the breeder

you dont need to know anything in this breed to see the qualty in this dogs

Thanks for the help Irena, I will definately tell her about him and see what can be done.

Rowie - You're right the general area would be better. This woman did send to some southeastern state for her dog so presumably she did this because she did some research on lines etc but I don't see he making use of a distant mentor.

FDF - I sooooo hope this woman isn't as bad as Paris but from the way my friend made her out you might be right. I only hope that by looking at Petfinder and seeing how many dogs are on there she might change her mind. Or, failing that, if she talks to a good breeder she will either realize how hard it is or at the very least learn to do it right.
