English being so bad, he sure understood the word "scam" from the first time Jess mentioned it, and started quickly trying to say it ain't so. I would imagine someone with such an obvious language barrier might ask "what do you mean... scam..." Is "scam" a universally recognized word? Seriously, I'm just asking... Not trying to lend credibility to this person (pheh, as if). It just stood out to me that he(?) knew enough to defend it from the first mention of "scam."
