Freckles, do you understand the needs of a Lab puppy? they dont train themselves, contrary to popular belief. they need LOTS of trainig, LOTS of exercise, and then more training, and more exercise...

they are excellent dogs, with the proper training and care, but they end up in shelters without it.

PM me with questions please. I dont want you to be overwhelmed with thiis dog, which happens alot...

Her parents are going to train it and I'm not sure but they might go the same route they went with Freckles and thats work with her 1 on 1 and also get a personal trainer or puppy classes  I was just there at her house today and seems like everything is under control(have crate and everything) they trained Freckles(dog) the britney spaniel(been told they are high energy if not trained well) and she's 1 of the smartest dogs I know(aside from my own dogs that is   ) Knowing her as long as I have I know he'll have a long happy and healthy life with them and I'm also digging up some resources I used to train Cinco with.

Congratulations, Freckles. Having a puppy must be one of the greatest feelings in the world. It is for me, at least. But ignore me, I have puppy fever. I want a puppy now. LOL

I have a Labrador Retriever too. Courtnek is right; they are great pets but they do have to be trained properly, exercised enough and given the right amount of attention.

I'm sorry, but I forget what kind of breed your first dog is. You should probably ask some of the wise ones here how to introduce a first dog to a second. They must be on neutral ground. I'm sure Court or some one else could help you with that...

Good luck & have fun!!

[quote name='CincoandDahlilasgirl']It's a britney spaniel. I think she mentioned once that they've been/plan on taking the dogs to meet and sniff eachother so it won't be as hectic.

Sorry, sweetie, I don't mean to sound prissy but I believe that the dog breed you are referring to is called a "Brittany". When you say "Britney", that is the name of a human female, not the dog you are talking about.
