Guest Anonymous Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 I can't get Kiani to do anything with it unless she can just lick it out. I've put in her favorite can of wet food and she'll lick it for the first two bubbles. But at the very bottom she won't even bother. I was hoping this would be something interesting for her to help with seperation anxiety when I leave her at home. But if I can't get her interested in it, it's 10$ down the drain. Quote
Canis erectus Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 LOL, good luck because I had the same thing happen to me. Nothing I tried could ever get my girls interested in more than just the first couple of licks. Some dogs are just less food oriented than others. Quote
imported_Kat Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 i use smushed up banana/frozen yoghurt/marmite and add bits like carrot/kibble to it and freeze it. Its sooo much fun creating a kong :D Quote
DogPaddle Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Well if she likes NOTHING there isn't much you can do. If she likes anything in paticular put that in the small end and make sure it sortof oozes or crumbles out the tiny hole in the end - temptation. You could also stopper the small end and fill it with water and beef broth and freeze it. It will freeze into one solid chunk and might keep her at it longer. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Well my mom eats yogurt... (ughh nasty stuff too) so maybe tonight when I get back there I'll give her a few licks of it. She loves alfredo sauce. I was sitting on a small step stool talking to my mom, and I opened up a jar of alfredo sauce and I was just holding it in my hand, not paying attention. All of sudden she came over and licked the lid clean. I even took small chunks of fresh chicken and put it in there. She didn't do a thing to try and get it out. Then the ants got to it and that went to waste. And when I would hand her a piece out of it, she snatch it from my hand like my fingers were chicken too. I've discovered that she has no taste for peanut butter. Although she does like easy cheese out of the can. I tried feeding her a smaller amount of her kibble food, and putting the rest into the kong. She didn't eat any of it but maybe a few pieces that might've fallen out. She really is becoming a frustrating dog. Quote
