BuddysMom Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 What vacuum cleaners do y'all use? Are they good, bad, or average with pet hair? After my old dirt devil died (which was average with pet hair) I tried to buy three and returned each of them for being either completely useless or ridiculously cumbersome. This included the dyson 'animal' which was both the above, plus defective and overpriced. Finally I tried a Bissell cleanview with turbobrush and it rocks!!! I am so happy I just have to share, and wondering what your experiences are. Quote
BuddysMom Posted June 1, 2005 Author Posted June 1, 2005  Bring on the Dyson freaks then ... Quote
drjeffrock Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 OMG, Dysons are the best, how dare you say they suck?!?!?!? Just kidding. I do have a Dyson, though. I got mine for less than 1/2 retail price. In my honest opinion, the Dyson is a fairly good vacuum cleaner, but not worth its retail price. Surprisingly enough, I have had good success with the attachment chingaderra thingy getting pet hair off my couch. This is the area where my other vacuums have failed me in the past. Overall, I give my Dyson an 8 out of 10. Quote
behle Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 I like my Dyson....it really gets the hair up. The turbo brush gets a workout on the futon cover at least every other day (though it could use it every day). It's the best vacuum I've owned. :D I would buy another one. Congrats on the new vacuum! 8) Quote
ObedienceGrrl Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 I'm an Oreck fan through and through. I LOVE my Oreck! And it's sooooo light!! Dang.....I can whip that thing all over the house. Quote
Daisysmom Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 I too have an Oreck and love it. I just wish it had built in attachments. I hate having to bring out the the other tank type.... Quote
JackieMaya Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 I haven't tried vacuuming my dogs yet, but I have a real nice horse vacuum out at the barn. I'll have to try it sometime and see if they like it. It has lots of grooming attachments with it too. But of course I can't remember the brand. Maybe I'll have to bring it home and try it out on the pups one of these days. Quote
