Teething

Kes is teething at the moment and trying to get her teeth around everything (inc. me :lol: ). Her wee ears are up and down as well so I know shes sore. I give her raw carrots straight from the fridge and frozen kongs as well as toys, but does anyone else have any other suggestions or particular toys to help?

What we did when the dogs were teething was take a wash cloth and soak it in water and then freeze it. They loved it, I guess it would numb their gums.

we used to give our dogs these puppy teething rings. U can find them at stores like walmart and petco. They carry the same thing just walmarts brand is a cheaper price.

Frozen cotton clothes are great.

brilliant thank you! I shall throw a soaked wash cloth into the freezer now (along with the kong, teething stick, carrots...our freezer looks more like a doggy shop than a food freezer :lol: ).

frozen socks/cloths, and ICE....they love ice, and you can buy unsalted chicken and beef broth, and make ice with it. they love it, and it helps with both pain and needing to loosen the teeth so they fall out.

And if the socks are stinky before you freeze them, they'll like them even better!

I've encountered my fair share of gross stuff - but this just takes the cake. :o

Have to agree that they'll probably love it though. Ugh!
