Guest Anonymous Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 Now for my older sis.... She has two Old English Sheepdogs... a male, Bailey who is somewhere around 9 years old, and a female, Maggie who they just got a few months ago, not even a year old yet. Why I am so ticked at her.... She let these dogs breed. Maggie had 8 pups. One died shortly after birth and one died after they got the tails and dew claws clipped. So they have 6 pups. They dont know where the papers for Bailey are. They were never sent in. Maggie has papers but has a bad eye, which was passed genetically to her. So, they allowed a dog not even a year old yet be bred. No health tests were done, when health is obviously an issue (Maggies bad eye). To top it all off, she called me the other day saying she looked on the internet to see how much OES pups were going for. $600, unless they have blue eyes, then it can be up to $1000. (I thought blue eyes were a bad thing??) She hung up on me when I started in on her about responsible breeding. I am getting hung up on left and right recently. Anyway, we are all meeting at my parents next weekend (my niece has a dance recital). They called me to ask me to not bring a dog with me since my sis is bringing Bailey, Maggie and 6 pups!!!??? Oh, I have to stop... Im getting upset all over again. I hate ignorance. Quote
xavierandrea Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 Wow, sounds like your sister is a complete opposite of you. I hope the remaining pups are ok. Quote
pyrless Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 why wasn't maggie sold on a limited registration? (not venting at you, just curious, her breeder should not have let her go like that). Quote
