imported_Kat Posted April 30, 2005 Posted April 30, 2005 Does anyone know what is the earliest age that a puppy can get her rabies vaccinations? also is it just one or is it a course. I've never had a dog vaccinated for rabies so I admit that I'm not really well up on the programme! Have any of your dogs suffered ill effects? Thanks in advance :D Quote
courtnek Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 here its 12 weeks. I have never had one have a reaction to it, but some people may have experienced otherwise... it can make them somewhat groggy the next day, but thats all I've ever seen in 32 years of dog ownership.... Quote
AllAmericanPUP Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 its 12 weeks here too, just one shot. none of my dogs had any suffered any ill effects Quote
mouseatthebusstop Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 will you do the pet passport before you go? the blood tests have to be done after the shot -I know you don't need it to go over but you will to bring the puppy back Quote
imported_Kat Posted May 2, 2005 Author Posted May 2, 2005 I can't get a straight answer on this :o Each vet is telling me different from what i gathered from calling around today. I have to call Defra in the morning and get a proper answer and see if she has to get rabies vaccs and at what age cos some are saying no she doesn't until she gets to america because the uk is a rabies free zone. :-?
