Aroura Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 As promised I have taken some updated pics or Merlin (9 weeks old now), and will try to do so weekly while he is growing up if time permits! We went to puppy pre-school on Wednesday, it was so much fun! I took him to the vet to be weighed on Tuesday, 4.6kg, by puppy pre-school on Wednesday he was already 4.8kg! He is growing so quickly, probably the healthiest pup I've ever seen! Its so different to raising Diego, I had forgotten how full on Boxers were! He doesn't stop, not for a minute! At puppy pre-school he started bouncing at all of the other dogs, you would have had to have seen it to know what I'm on about, but it was SO funny! Everyone was laughing as he took turns going to each of the pups, bouncing at them while barking, waving his head everywhere, big floppy ears flopping up and down, I pictured him as a 30kg adult doing that and am glad I'm beginning training now! So he's getting the same socialisation as Diego, who is (ask anyone) the most laid back, polite, well socialised dog ever. Merlin is coming everywhere with me, and I've had a lot of people come here to meet him as well, people of all shapes and sizes wearing all sorts of things, hats, those real baggy, noisy pants, beanies, tall people, short people etc, you name it, he's used to everything now (most of the dogs I know will freak out at certain things so I'm making a huge effort to prevent this!). Sorry I haven't got any photos of Cassie, I will take some of her later, but I did get a very nice one of Merlin with Montie and Diego. I took more, but it is getting very late, I will have to post the rest later! Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 I love that little guy! His tail is just too cute. I love unaltered (docked or cropped) Boxers! Quote
Aroura Posted April 2, 2005 Author Posted April 2, 2005 Well he is 100% natural and will stay that way! Actually, now that I'm used to the tail I love it and wouldn't have it any other way - it's too cute! Same with the ears, although cropping is illegal here, I don't know how anyone could bring home a smooshy little puppy and chop off its ears! Why cut off one of the best bits? He's so precious  Quote

Please continue taking LOTS of pictures! Quote
Rowie-the-Pooh Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 What an angel! He is way too cute! I wouldn't mind more pictures of Diego or Montie, either! :D Quote

Mutt_Lady Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Merlin fits in really well with your fur family. :) All of your babies are adorable and have this wonderful look. They all look truly happy and content. You must be a great mum! Quote
Aroura Posted April 6, 2005 Author Posted April 6, 2005 DAL, Diego has really shot up hasn't he? He's a great size now, maybe a little tall when he stands up - ie tall enough to steal food off the kitchen sink! But its great, he is about as tall as a female lab but only 10kg, everyone thinks its adorable when its cold and I stand through dog training with him snuggled under my jacket, thats the beauty of having a light dog! Thanks Mutt_Lady, I'm sure they'd agree with you, they're spoilt rotten! I'm working every day now, so before Josh got home from sea I drove them to my sisters every day before work so they could play with her dogs, and pick them up and take them to the off lead dog park after work. They all love life very much and never really get in trouble for anything (except for Diego when he is stealing food off the sink! LOL) so yes, they are all very content. I'm also happy to say that Montie has already fallen in love with Merlin, it usually takes Montie longer than this to fall in love with a puppy, but already he gets excited to see him and runs up to kiss his face several times a day :D Quote
Kerislc Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 What a darling puppy! Keep taking those pictures. Quote
