pyrless Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 i have been having a horrible week, which has been compounded with my husband's long work hours, the constant rain and the full moon, and started with Sasha and Muffin (who have to be separated at all times because they hate each other) getting into a nasty squabble. The dogs have been really barky and obnoxious and not-listening-to-Mom, and I finally lost it, snapped, yelled at both Taz and Sasha, mostly Sasha (my favorite, who usually is the best-behaved). I feel absolutely awful. This is not the way to get through to any dog, much less a pyr, and I have been trying to find a way to mend our relationship. Is this normal? Help? Quote

Carolk9s Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 geez, I must be a bad mom. I have yelled at my dogs on more than one occaision....and thats just in the last month! Not that my dogs care very much, Candy all but gives me the paw. I threaten to get a big stick and beat her into the ground, she verbally sasses me. Hm, somehow I don't think she takes me seriously! But really, even if she does, she is quick to forgive as soon as the liver biscotti comes out. Now Brittany IS soft, a raised voice makes her nervous. Over the years she has learned that she does not have to run and hide, I am not going to hit her. Jesse does not hear me so with him it's a moot point. Quote
