I am a new comer to owning a dog. :D I am researching for my first AmStaff Pit. I understand that they are less animal aggressive but should not be fully trusted around other animals, especially really dominant or small animals. I have been researching this breed for about a year and a half and the thing that sticks out the most (besides being animal aggressive) is that apbt are the most loyal animals and will do anything to please their owner or sometimes any person. I have a close friend that owns two abpt and they are the sweetest things. Dosha is a male about 2 years old and every time I enter the room he goes crazy. I was the first person to feed him as a pup. I have learned a lot from him and Sensy (the other abpt). Dosha will let you know if he is not getting enough attention or does not like how loud everyone is being.

Anyways, sorry for rambling, my question was how much does a abpt eat in a week, that is in lbs. I want to fully prepare myself.

I'm not exactly sure. I tried to do a search. I'm thinking a large bad of dog food would last at least two weeks? Not to sure. I have a black lab, who's about 65/70 lbs, and he gets a bowl in the morning, and a bowl in the late afternoon evening, and table scraps through out the day. He loves to eat! I'm thinking that pitbulls activity levels aren't as high, but I'm not sure so he may not seem as hungry as my dog.. lol.

thank you for responding. I should get him in about 2-3 months. I am so excited. The first thing I am going to do is post pics. Everything that I have seen on the internet have said the same thing. That is that very dog is different depending on size, ect.

Be careful on the amount of food you're feeding your Lab Ash......
Labs tend to be a dog that over eat and get obese. :(

I have a Lab/Rott 3yr. old and she's a svelte 95lb.
She gets 1 3/4 cup 2X/day and the only human food she gets is raw veggies (which she loves and is good for her...)
