imported_Kat Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 I'm getting hate mail now from people via text.. I got one last night from the trainer of my dog club who said "what you done was a disgrace". I texted back asking what exactly have I done? The reply was that I went off to Holland and made my choice. Why is all this just coming out now? Why wasn't anything said to me last year before I left? I have always put Meg 1st and I tried so hard last year to convince them to let me take her. I put her 1st when making my university choices. I chose a uni at home and I gave up the place that I was offered at edinburgh uni. When we were at dogshows and no dogs were allowed into the guest house we stayed at, I either sneaked her upstairs to my room or I pitched a tent so she would be near with me and wouldn't have to sleep in the van. I put her life before mine last May when I was hit by the motorcycle. Last years decision to move to Holland wasn't done just on a whim. From my point of view I lived my life and I moved to Holland. Meg isn't my dog at the end of the day and she doesn't live with me as much as I was she was mine..but lets face facts..she isn't. Am I missing something here or by moving to Holland did I really do an act so disgraceful? Please be honest with me folks. I need to know in case I'm mentally defending myself or something. Quote

I have a question about Meg..ok you Share her right? like i understand you sayd she's yoru dog but i'm never understood the relationship.. like does she live with you now or the other guy? did you just show her and perform with her? I have known these people since I was 8 years old when I walked their 5 dogs over the fields. When they got Meg and her brother I bonded with Meg and they said I could bring her to the dog club to train as Margaret has so many health problems and wouldn't train her etc etc. Meg surpassed training and she did way better. Someone said that she should be entered in a show and boom! from there the rest is history and Meg and I competed and trained to championship standard in agility and obedience which involved years of work down at the park in light and dark and working together in all sorts of weather. No she isn't just a training asset. I have always walked her and played with her and when I could drive I drove her to the forests and to the beach or took her hiking up the mountains. When I had the horses, she came with me on hacks and trotted alongside the horse. I have always brought her up to my own house as well just to chill and watch tv and shes been to uni with me a few times as well in my lectures and as a subject for a seminar which I gave once! The profs got to know her and as she was so good in lectures, they never ever minded her being there and always made a point to come and say hello to her. :D She has always lived with them "her owners". They live a minute down the road from me so its very convenient. When the ownership was changed to include me, it was so that I could enter Meg at Crufts. For 8 and a half years it has always been me that has trained Meg and entered her in competitions and paid for her to fly/sail to Crufts or mainland UK shows. I never minded paying for her at all because shes a little dog with a huge heart and I would never begrudge her anything. I am angry and hurt at this latest development but I will always remember what happened on saturday with great satisfaction. Meg made her choice to run out of the ring to come to me which is something she has never ever done before and that satisfies me greatly. Someone even said she had a very smug look on her little face when she bounded over to me, as if she knew that little gesture was the right thing to do and meant a whole lot more. :wink: Quote

courtnek Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Kat, you said it all yoursel. she LEFT the ring to come to you. if you were showing her, she would not have done that. she loves YOU more than anyone else in her little doggie life, and thats why they are backlashing you. they wanted you to train her, teach her, make her perfect, and then they wanted to take that away, with every feeble excuse in the book..you "left" her to go to Holland...you "cant see her because you went away, and that might affect her training"... do I hear a big round of BULLSHIT!! sorry but thats what it is. she loves you, and performs for you, and will probably never perform for any better than you. there is a BOND there that these LACKBRAINS arent seeing, or recognizing. they wanted you to make her perfect. what they didnt realize is that with dogs, that perfection only comes with a bond formed of love and trust, over time. Kat, she is your your dog. I dont care who owns her. And i would file a formal complaint because of this. they arent helping her, she loves you. in the long run, whats better for her? :wink: Quote

Is there any way you would be able to buy Meg so that she would be totally in your name? It sounds like that's the only way you'll get these people to lay off you. Good luck! Quote

I mean, it's bad enough they became total sh*theads to you, but now it seems on the verge of stalking. Good grief, hate text mail? Do they have THAT much free time on their hands? And keep copies of all the mail you get from them. I don't know if it will help you get Meg, but at least it can be used as evidence if you should decide to file suit against them for harassment.
