Crate Training

I've never crate trained a dog before.. and since I'm starting agility with my Aussie I'm going to have to start using one since I can't be with my dog all the time.

Does anybody have any good websites on crate training, or links about it? Or even if you want to tell me how to crate train would be helpful. Lol.

I just don't know where to start and what method will work best. My dog also gets separation anxiety when we go anywhere new, so I really need to start working on some sort of training.

I don't have the patience either. I just didn't think everyone else had the patience to retype all that. I got alot of good info and it has helped alot. Good Luck.

Oh, of course. I didn't expect anyone to retype a whole thing again. I was hoping people would post links to other threads or websites with info. I've been reading through everything and I think I understand how to train him now. :)

Glad you understand better now. My pup is very stubborn, so it takes a lot more with him than with some others. He would go potty in his crate even right after going outside or on the papers. He did not do well with the crate. So we switched to laundry room. Crate on one end to sleep in and paper on other to potty. Works better, but I am always home so it works well. You will have to get yours crate trained for what you are doing. Good Luck Again!
