Ok appearently the Iams thing is still going on with testing on animals and neglecting them and stuff. Poor babies :roll: I'd march over there and take them all home with me if I could.

While I agree that Iams has done some truly unethical things, don't forget where your information came from. PETA is hardly an unbiased source.

I don't know if I believe that that's still going on. The exposure was a huge blow to the IAMS company and caused a lot of outrage. They probably fixed the conditions not for the animals but so they don't lose money. I still would never support IAMS, and anyway its a crappy dog food. Those pictures are the same ones from a year ago. them. I'd like to see new pictures and an un-biased source other then PETA.

What I find more interesting is the Petco thing. Apparently here in my area they want to double the stores. There's like 30 something now in South Florida (from wpb to south dade). I was just at a grand opening store across from my job.
I mean, it's hard to find pet stores these days that don't have any problems. Even down to the privately owned stores. And for the average person, people don't want to pay high end prices for an animal to love and care for. I just got two guinea pigs for 10$ from a pet store. Granted they've been there for a couple months so they were full grown. They sold them as "teenage guinea pigs" But it sure beats out paying 50$ for one a few months younger. And the thing is going to live for 5 or so years. So it's not like you're counting down your days like you would hamsters that only live a few years.
