Crystal Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 I was just wondering if anyone else's dog's sleep in weird postions? Toby sleeps on his back, paws straight up and head propt up against the side of his crate. It's hilarious. Quote
JackieMaya Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 My girls are the pros at weird sleeping positions (especially Maya)! Here's Maya in the recliner: Here's Jackie (her tummy was red because she had just been spayed): Here's Jackie and Maya: Quote

imported_Kat Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 Meg curls up like a little fox or if shes in my arms she does a thing where she tucks her head up under my arm and sprawls out with her tummy exposed and Zoe is a mad thing and sleeps like JM's Maya! Must be a golden retriever thing! Quote
Kerislc Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Scout sleeps on his back all of the time. I have never seen a dog so content to lay on his back. In the morning, he sleeps on his back, under the covers with his head on my pillow. It is so cute. I have a picture on my camera, I'll post it later. Quote
courtnek Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Free will lay on her back with all four in the air, perfectly content. thats actually a good sign. they feel safe enough to roll over in their own homes and dont fear exposing belly or neck. in a pack that would be considered EXTREME submission, usually acompanied by urinating. but my dogs both do it, they're not afraid, just comfortable. Free will also lay on her belly with her front paws curled under. to me, since my wrist WONT bend that way, it looks extemely uncomfortable. doesnt seem to bother her though. Quote
behle Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Ben loves to wedge himself in the narrow space between our bed and the wall, just in front of the nightstand. He will squiggle around in his sleep until his four legs are up in the air. Sometimes he manages to get his head under the edge of the bed.... Waking up is a big production. Jerry loves to wad himself into as small a kidney bean shape on the futon as possible and then proceeds to snurfle, moan, fart, slurp, etc. until it drives one to distraction. He's happy as a clam, but everyone else wearies of his sound effects. When sound asleep he stretches all four legs directly off the futon in everyone's way.... :D Quote

You can't see any part of him. They used to have a female named Magic, she ate part of the blanket once, the vet removed it from her, but the next morning when the vet went in she was dead. He said she did fine after her surgery, but she had not eaten in 3 days. I guess she was to weak. It was very sad. Quote
