Lucky Chaos Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 I just found out yesterday that my friends rottie had to be put down cause of cancer. The sad thing is he was only 6 years old. I've known him since he was a puppy, such a great dog. It was just so unexpected, I saw him a couple days before he was put down and he looks so healthy and normal. The vet said he was full of cancer and the only thing they could do was put him down. It's weird, you never thing of a young dog like that having something like cancer, it makes me appreciate the time I have with my dogs so much more. Lucky's 6 too, nearly 7. I don't know what I would do if it was him. It was just a big blow even though he wasnt my dog I remember him very well. RIP Major. Quote
BuddysMom Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 Only 6?! That is so sad (and so scary). You're right it is a reminder that every day with your dog is a treasured gift. Quote
