mouseatthebusstop Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 I have found a cluster of lumps where Paddy's tail joins his body on the left side about 3 inches down a good half inch across - raised up, it is not red or angery looking. It was quite alarming he has only just turned 3 years old. We have an appointment with the vet on Thursday morning. Quote
DogPaddle Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Isn't there a gland near there? Maybe its just an inflamed or blocked gland. Good luck at the vet. Quote
rotten_two Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 good luck at the vet! do keep us posted mouse. Quote
xavierandrea Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Good Luck. Let us know what the vet says. Quote
mouseatthebusstop Posted February 17, 2005 Author Posted February 17, 2005 Paddy had a tranquliza(sp) because he would not let the vet look at his lumps - so he has been a bit off all day. The lumps turned out to be Mucon deposits - Vet told me mucon is what makes the s/pei wrinkled but Paddy has extra bits by his tail - we have got steroyrd(sp) cream which will make them go down Quote
imported_Kat Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 hopefully Paddy will be on the mend soon enough  Quote
DogPaddle Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Oh good. Poor Paddy, but good that it is not a serious health risk. Quote
rotten_two Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 good to hear paddy will be his old self shortly. so are these mucon lumps likely to occur again did the vet say? Quote
mouseatthebusstop Posted February 19, 2005 Author Posted February 19, 2005 thanks- we are delighted too it's only minor :) we were thinking the worst Quote
