I'm adopting another Border Collie

This guy was slated to be put down next week. He's in a Spokane shelter though so the nice people over there are arranging to get him out and transport him to me. I'm extremely excited and nervous as I have never adopted a dog that I have never met.

Thats great that you are pulling him and giving him a chance! Is he a full BC? To be honest to me he looks like he is mixed with a spaniel, not that it matters of course! :wink:

Congrats! I kinda see where Kat see's spanielthe face kinda looks spaniel(I have a spaniel/hound w/ possible lab)

Thanks guys. He maybe mixed with Australian Shepherd. He weighs 50lbs so I will try to get some weight off of him. I have no idea how tall he is as the pic is rather deceiving. I just got an email from one of the shelter workers and he will be neutered on Friday. She gave me his Micro-chip # so reality is really starting to sink in now.

Congrats, great for you to give that dog a good home, i leave the spaniel mix thing to Kat and the others, i've met only 2 BC in my hole life, that's a rare breed in here :P

Congrats! He's gorgeous! I don't really see spanial but his coat/head is pretty fluffy so you may be right about the aussie. I'd say golden ret. if he was a bit bigger too.
