i'm crossposting this..cause she needs help!
anybody have any advice for her? she is going to get a 2nd opinion from another vet..since the intereceptor isnt really working..

I know some of you know a little about whats going on with Magic. She was diagnosed in December with whip worms and thats whats causing the massive diarrhea. She had the heartworm test done and it came out negative and the doctor put her on Interceptor. She had her first dose Jaunary 1. The vet told me that the medicine will kill the whip worms and it will stop her diarrhea. Well since the week of christmas she has had diarrhea ever week. I'll put her on the Caninie I/D and after a few days it goes away, but knock on wood a few days after that it comes back. She had it a week ago and now she got it back on sunday. I just cant deal with this. And it seems its much worse this time. She is constantly doing it in the house, my whole house smells. Yes ive went to petsmart and bought stuff to make the house smell better but it dont work when ur dog is constantly doing it. I dont blame Magic, i know it is not her fault. I gave her a can of the food this morning, she ate half and then threw it up. The vet said that she is probably having a re-occuring infestation of the worms. I am so stressed out and depressed right now. Im the only one who cleans it up because hubby is at work. I get up at 6 am and go downstairs and there it is..usually two or more piles of it. I cant handle doing that, that early in the morning but i do because i cant leave it there. I will not do this for the rest of Magic's life. We are going to the bahamas in a little over a week and im so afraid to leave the dogs to my mom. I dont want her to have to come over here and clean that up. I have been thinking about having Magic put to sleep. I know that sounds horrible and maybe im a horrible person but i cant do this anymore. Im tried of crying about it. My stress level over this is thru the roof. I just cant take this anymore. Im praying that God gives me the strength to do the right thing. Thanks for listening, i really needed to get this all out.

If she is feeding I/D, that is for sensitive stomachs, right?

Now....my boys never had worms.....so I don't know if this will help, but I"ll give it a try...

They had diarrhea at least 6 or 7 times a month. Blow out kind....not just mushy poop. The kind that just comes out like water. And.....of course, like your friend, in the house.

I was at my wits end. I tried changing food....but no better.

So.....I started them on plain yogurt mixed in with their food every day. Four BIG spoonfuls at night and one big one in the morning.

That was months ago.....since then....NOTHING!! No diarrhea. Nada.....it's been wonderful.

Maybe he just needs some live cultures? I'm grasping at straws.....but it might be worth a shot. And yogurt is cheap! I pay $1.79 for the BIG container.
