Perfect, beautiful (ignoring the below zero temps, work with me here!) pristine Iowa winter day!

Here are the photos from today. Some are better than others, but I'm warning you - there are a lot of them!

::snicker:: goofy girl...

Queen of the Snow Mountain, Keeper Of The Holy Old Navy Frisbee!

Frisbee in my mouth, I can't hear you...

I love the look on her face...

These next two left me speechless...

Now so sure what she was trying to accomplish here...

Such concentration, such intensity...

"MY frisbee, not yours! Go away!"

and a close-up of the previous photo...

"Is it a bird? Is it a plane?!? Is it a... oh never mind, it really is a plane."

Beautiful pictures!!!!!!
I was wondering why, you might know, there are two ways of spelling Doberman and Dobermann with 2 n's?
I love this one you should blow it up and frame it!!! They are all so good blow them up and frame them all! :D

Ilsa's always been a photogenic girl - she's always loved the camera. And yes court, I too would like to see her in advertising. Sadly, I haven't been able to find any dog modeling agencies in my area! ;)

And Doberman is spelled with one "n" in America and Canada, two "n"s in Europe - if an American or Canadian breeder is tryng to sell their dogs based on the "Euro Gimmick", they'll often use two "n"s... ugh.

Oh. I noticed the spelling thing in my Dogs in Canada magazine that has breeder ads in it. I see "Dobermann" is used more often with working kennels that have European imports so that makes sense.

Louis Dobermann was responsible for creating the Dobe in Germany (spelt like that from what I have known) which I'm sure all Dobe fanatics know. In Europe Doberman is spelt with one "n" like in America which is a shame that the true name of the dog was changed.

Great pics by the way

Actually, all the dobermann breeders in Europe use two -nn, wich is correct, also if you are doing a search on the internet, if you tipe doberman you get american sites, but if you tipe dobermann you get European sites.

Ohh and sizzle, she is totally lovely

Actually, I don't believe Dobermann had a name for his dogs. His successor, the man left in charge of the breeding program, named the breed. I think. Hmmmm...

It's interesting - my family was living in Apolda/Thuringen/Germany at the time when Dobermann was developing the breed. Makes me wonder if they were ever bad people who didn't pay their taxes... :evilbat:
