Yoladybug Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 Today I was in the mall, and I walked by Petland. On the window was a sign that told people not to worry if they couldn't afford a dog, they could have one anyway. They are now financing their dogs for $30 a month. I don't even know what to say...I could not believe my eyes. Poor little doggies. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 :o if they have to finance a dog how are they going to pay for vet bills and health care etc for the dog? gesh.. the poor puppies.. :( Quote
__crazy_canine__ Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 I second what DAL said... ugh, unbelievable. When is the world going to wake up???? :( Quote

Yeah, well, dogs are like items to them. Idiots. If it was that much off you have to wonder how much it was initially... geez the price off by itself is as much as a breeder would charge. :o Quote
CincoandDahlilasgirl Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 A yorkie pup is 11,00,50 each! The breeders in the paper here don't even ask much. well atleast for the postings i saw last time i looked at the pet ads neway. Quote
Aussie_Chick Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 Well around here it is most often cheaper to buy from a breedeer,it's just most people are not really educated enough to realise this. Quote

drjeffrock Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 There is a pet store in my local mall that sells dogs. I am not really welcome there cause I always voice my opinion in there quite loudly about how people could go to VERY reputable breeders and pay half of what the pet stores charge. It is sad. They have 1/2 off signs and "No credit? No worries!" signs. A friend of mine bought 2 dogs from there, one has terrible pat. luxation and the other dog, a rat terrier, died at 2 years old of some really weird cancer that usually affects dogs that are 80+ lbs. I just went to the mall last week and saw that they had an Akita. Damn near broke Christine and my heart. Quote
