Guest Anonymous Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 Hi :) I'd really like help identifying my dog but I only have pictures on my computer and (I think) they have to be already on a website for me to post them here. Would anyone be gracious enough to let me email them some pics of her? We got her from the RSPCA in Queensland (Australia) and they told us she is a Siberian Husky x New Zealand Huntaway. She has one blue eye and one brown (which, as far as I can tell from all my internet research may only occur in Huskies????). She is a light chocolate brown with tan legs and white paws. Everyone who sees her thinks she has Australian Red Kelpie in her bloodline and I've looked at some pictures and tend to agree. I've looked at a few photos of NZ Huntaways but each one looks totally different from the next so I'm not sure what to expect as far as her looking like them goes. One thing is for sure, she must have some sort of sheep dog in her because she's always trying to herd us and round us up! lol Any help would be much appreciated - I can send photos :) Thanks Karen :D Quote

Sunneva Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 First I looked at the pics I thought it was a Husky mix, cause yhe eye is so beautyfull blue, and the ears lika an Husky ear... Quote
Pumpkin the musher Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Huskies are not the only breed with blue eyes. Border Collies and Great Danes have blue eyes, as do Catahoula Leopard dogs. The dog looks like an Australian Kelpie to me. Quote

She doesn't look that much different. I usually just tell people she's a husky x kelpie. :) Quote
Taigudg Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 She looks like a kelpie/Aussie maybe. Quote

Rowie-the-Pooh Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Beautiful dog! :) She has a very narrow muzzle now, and I may be taking a stab in the dark but could she have Pharoah Hound somewhere in there? That's what I thought of, looking at the pictures. Quote
