Guest Mutts4Me Posted January 1, 2005 Posted January 1, 2005 My favorite episode of Animal Precinct is on, the one with Cain, the Cane Corso, Malachai the Rottweiler, and Maximus, the APBT. I've posted about it before, wondering if Cain was a Cane Corso or a Presa Canario. ANYWAY, during the middle of the show, right after the going to commercial cliff-hanger where they're contemplating (and seriously hinting) that Cain might have to be PTS because of his food aggression, a Public Service Announcement that I hadn't seen came on. It was the officer who adopted Cain, sitting there with Cain himself! And ohhh, that dog looks so good now!!! I was so happy  Here's Cain's story for those who haven't seen: [quote] Cane: Hard Candy Despite the fact that Animal Precinct: "Finding a Home" (visit our online episode guide) first aired in January 2003, HLE Special Agent Joe Pentangelo still receives two to three letters per week from viewers touched by the story of Cane, the dog he rescued on the show. Responding to an anonymous report of a dog "in need of medical attention" abandoned in a Brooklyn lot, Pentangelo discovered emaciated, painfully arthritic Cane. Because he suffered from prolapsed eyelids (aka "cherry eye"), his eyes were blood red. Pentangelo canvassed the neighborhood until he found and arrested the individual who was responsible for Cane Quote

ObedienceGrrl Posted January 1, 2005 Posted January 1, 2005 That is a very nice PSA. I really like him.....or maybe it's just the accent! I love New York accents!! They all sound like they walked off the set of the Soprano's!! Quote
imported_Debbie Posted January 1, 2005 Posted January 1, 2005  That's so cool.....I remember that episode and the officer adopting him !! It's good to see that he continues to be a good fit with the family. That just goes to show also that not all dogs that are deemed aggressive can't be changed......just given a little time, love, and patience. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted January 1, 2005 Posted January 1, 2005 You know what is funny is that I know that episode aired the week of Jan. 20th. How do I know that? I remember the episode...you see I don't have cable at home but that was the week I had my youngest son and they hospital had cable. I'm glad to hear he is doing so well. Quote
