Pixie has had a couple of accidents on my bed, when I thinks she's got it all out, and I start reading, she goes potty before I realize what's happening. I wash my bedding of course, but I don't know if I'm getting it all taken care of. I don't want her to smell the previous potties and think it's ok to go on the bed.

I saw on Petco's website that there's a Nature's Miracle for laundry, which looks just like a laundry detergent bottle. However, my local Petco doesn't carry it. I have all sorts of other Nature's Miracle products; the spray, the carpet cleaner solution... and I see that on there it has directions for pre-treating for laundry.

So, before I go ahead and order some NM laundry soap from Petco (and pay the shipping!), does anybody have other suggestions for getting the odors out? Maybe I could add a bunch of NM solution to a soak for my bedding? But it does say not to dilute... Are there any other products I should look for?

Before you order in a high priced stain remover try this. I'm just not sure if it would stain or not?
[quote]Homemade Odor Remover

Paul Krebaum, a chemist for the Molex Corporation in Lisle, Illinois, has developed a foolproof odor remover. This odor remover works on anything including decomposing organic matter, fecal matter, urine and skunk spray. This odor remover is made from simple household ingredients:1 quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide

Try a white vinegar soak before washing. For what it's worth, I have used the Nature's Miracle stain and odor remover for carpets AND their skunk odor remover and both products are excellent.

OK, I think I'll be trying the white vinegar soak tonight. It's not so much stain remover that I'm worried about right, now. I hit everything I caught with the NM spray, and I don't have any stains that I can see but I want to make sure that all the odor is gone.

If you have a Lowes or Home Depot near you, they have a Capture Pet stain and odor with enzymes. This is what I use on my carpet. The smell is somewhere between shampoo and laundry detergent and very light. It works wonders on my carpet and I love it more than NM!

I do not see where it says it's laundry safe, but I should imagine it would be alright. You could test it out on something "not so important" like an old dishrag or something first. I do have to mention, tho, that when there is an "oopsy" I normally pour this straight on the spot and work it with a towel. I have not had any problems with the towels I have used. NO discolouration or bleaching. They are fine. If my dog or non-dog :kociak: made an oopsy on a blanket, I would not have second thoughts about putting the blanket in with this Capture. :)
