boosiebutt Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 My Mom ordered some shades for our living room, and the big (84 ft. long!) packages have been leaning up against a wall waiting for us to put them up. Well today, I moved them so I could vacuum, and when I went to get the second one the first one fell over on Peanut! He cried out, and I grabbed him to cuddle, calm down, and check out if he was hurt. He seemed ok, but still freaked out, when he went to roll out of the baby hold I had him in, I noticed I had blood on my shirt!!! :o :o :o So then I grabbed him again and checked him over again, and it turned out his back foot (which I had checked first) was bleeding in between the toes. So, he must have busted a quick or something. The bleeding stopped really quick, maybe 2 minutes after it happened. I wiped the area with a damp paper towel, and fussed with his foot and leg... wiggled all his toes, and moved his leg through a whole cycle, and he was fine with that, and he's walking on it alright as well. I called my vet, and they said that I was right, and it was probably a toenail, and to watch for renewed bleeding, swelling, Peanut messing with the foot, and if he starts not walking on it. Now the packages are laying flat down on the floor! Don't want that to happen again! And Peanut is cuddling with me. Quote
boosiebutt Posted December 15, 2004 Author Posted December 15, 2004 Hahaha, yeah... ummm ok, maybe 84 in! You could be right on the quick thing too! It did stop up right away. Luckily he's running around on his foot no prob! I'll probably make sure to clean his feet every day for a little bit to head off any infection. Quote
xavierandrea Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 :o :o I thought 84 ft was normal.. LOL. Just joking.... How's Peanut doing? Quote
boosiebutt Posted December 17, 2004 Author Posted December 17, 2004 He's doing fine, yay! He's running around like crazy and tackling Pixie and napping and eating and running..... Quote
imported_Kat Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Good news that he is back to his normal self again  Quote
