Determining Size of Dog at Adulthood

Hi,
I am new here. We have new puppy at our house. He was born 6-10-04. He now weighs about 8lbs. I adopted him he is a mixed breed. They say he is part Rat Terrier/Pug/Chiauaha. How big should we expect him to be at adult hood. Also is it true that male dogs usually stop growing around 9 months old? And that smalled breeds stop growning sometimes as soon as 8 months old?
Thanks for the info

Dogs stop growing at various ages often dependent on breed. Smaller dogs usually stop gaining height before larger dogs. After the dog cans it final height it will still likely need to "fill out."
Is 6-10-04 June 10th or Oct 6th? I'm hoping June 10th because 8lbs might be a bit large for a 6 week old of the cross you mention.
Rat Terrier Males (assuming standerd sized) - 12-35lbs
Pug Males - 14-18lbs
Chihuahua Males - 6lbs
So in theory you could have a dog anywhere from 6 to 35lbs. However, I suspect you'll get something in the 12 to 20 lb range, just a guess though.

Might be an old wives tale but I have heard that they should be half their final weight at 4 months. In all 3 of my dogs this has held true. If nothing else it might be able to give you a rough guestimate.
