Guest Mutts4Me Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 Monster House is one of my favorite shows. Right now, the second half of a Dog House episode started (9 pm Eastern). They're building a really extravagant 2-story Doggie Mansion for three rescue dogs, two mixes and a black Pit Bull. It's even going to have a deck and a pool. If you read this in time, turn it on! I can't wait to see the finished product :) Quote
Guest Mutts4Me Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 Oh yeah, it's on Discovery, if you aren't familiar with Monster House. Quote
ESSlover Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 Oh I've seen that one before! It is sooooooo cool! Quote
Horsefeathers! Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 I LOVE Monster House! I've seen the dog house one before. It's pretty cool, but they put a bunch of the hottest tempered guys together to build it. Oy. :o Quote
BuddysMom Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 I want to see it ... I want to see it!!! Waaaah ... (stamps foot and gets sent to room...) Quote
JackieMaya Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 Here's a picture of the finished dog house! Quote
Rowie-the-Pooh Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 Whoa, those are some lucky dogs!! :o Quote
BuddysMom Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 I caught the show last night! It was amazing and the dogs really loved it! Yesh the builders looked like whining wankers but I think the producers work to make it look that way. Quote

Is the house being built for the shelter or a rescue? If not, they should definitely do something for an animal shelter or something, what an awesome episode that would be! Well, they were three rescue dogs... looked like two shepherd mixes and a beautiful black pittie. The TV Guide described it as a "Chihuahua Rescue," but there were no Chihuahuas. Who knows. I don't know if the picture shows you how big it really was... two stories, each story being 5'9" I think they said. The people could walk around in it, they just had to lower their heads (or duck, depending on how tall they were). The bottom was a Lounge/Den, and upstairs had three Doggie rooms, all decorated differently. It was awesome, but I couldn't help feel it might be better to do it for cats next time, because dogs wouldn't want to hang out in their ultra-cool house, they'd want to be inside the other house with their people.
