DogPaddle Posted October 29, 2004 Posted October 29, 2004 Zaphod who is now getting close to 2 years old is going through a clumsy phase or another clumsy phase I guess I should say. He is tripping up the stairs and skidding on the tile and cement floors. I don't know what the deal is. Unless its because I've finally got his nails nice and short (I gave up and went to a groomer a couple months in a row) but I'm not sure that would make a difference on those surfaces anyway. In any case he always has the most perplexed look an his face, I wish I could get a pic of it. One time he actually turned half around to look at his back half accusingly. Quote
imported_Kat Posted October 29, 2004 Posted October 29, 2004 lol sounds like he is going through the lanky adolescence stage. Quote
courtnek Posted October 29, 2004 Posted October 29, 2004 oh no.....I hate to say this, but I am WAY past lanky adolescence. And I never grew out of the "clumsy stage"....   Quote
imported_Debbie Posted October 29, 2004 Posted October 29, 2004 :o DP, I had to laugh........Gretchen is the same way. When I take the grrlz out we go through the kitchen with a linoleum floor, I have to open the kitchen door all the way for her to come through (she's so skittish going across the kitchen floor !!) and she looks sort of like she's ice skating !!! She's a tall Lab/Rott and she doesn't like to be up high either.......  Thanks for the chuckle !! Quote
DogPaddle Posted October 29, 2004 Author Posted October 29, 2004 I fear I agree, he is too late for adolescents. He is a bit of a googy dog. He can be athletic occasionally, he jumps beutifully - its just walking he has a problem (well stairs too but only going up.) I suppose I could get a ladder and do that rear feet awarness training but he is kindof amusing just as he is. Quote
